The objective of study was developing diagnostic test evaluation instrument in multiple choice form with predetermined reason to identify Grade VIII student’s misconceptions on force topic in SMPN Oenino. Population of the study covered all students whereas the samples were Grade VIII students SMPN Oenino. The research method was Research and Development (R&D) with potential and problem, gathering information, product design, product validation, product revision, and product trial. Validation phase included experts and content validation. On expert’s validation, test instrument was validated by 3 validators with 87,7% worthiness average and was recommended applicable without revision. On content validation, 45 test items were tried out to students and 17 items were declared valid ranging from C1 to C4 cognitive domain which were used later to identify student’s misconceptions. Their misconceptions on force material were 23%, 38%, 13% and 26% from C1 to C4 cognitive domains. The result indicated that this instrument was applicable to identify student’s misconception on force materials.
Science learning is better related to nature through local wisdom since learners can gain more comprehension due to familiarity of occurring events through local wisdom based learning and they can preserve the local wisdom. This research aimed to identify physic concepts that occurred in the yarn processing using cotton by local society of None Fortress. The phenomenological design of qualitative research was undertaken in which the data triangulation technique comprised interviews, observation and documentation using an interview sheet, observation sheet and camera as instruments. The identification result of physic concepts in yarn production by None Fortress people covered Energy, Friction, Rotatory Motion, Circular Motion, Simple machine (Gear), Materials elasticity, vibration, measurement, capillarity, and radiation heat transfer. Based on the invented concepts, further research will expected to integrate the identification result in physic learning.
Abstrak Telah dilakukan peneilitian identifikasi konsep-konsep fisika di tempat wisata budaya Benteng None Desa Tetaf, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan . Kearifan lokal yang terdapat pada masyarakat di tempat wisata budaya benteng none yang diidentifikasi konsep-konsep fisikanya antara lain pada pembuatan rumah lopo, pembuatan anyaman dan kerajinan tenun ikat. Penelitian merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis fenomenologi dimana peneliti yang langsung turun ke lapangan untuk mengambil data. Teknik pengambilan data triangulasi data yaitu, wawancara, observasi dan dokumetasi dan instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar wawancara, observasi dan kamera. Konsep-konsep fisika yang teridentifikasi di tempat wisata budaya Benteng None desa Tetafantara lain, konsep pengukuran pada pembuatan rumah Lopo, konsep gaya gesek dan usaha, konsep sifat elastisitas bahan, konsep suhu dan kalor pada pembuatan anyaman, dan pada pembuatan tenun ikat terdapat konsep gaya Gesek dan Gerak rotasi. Hasil dari indetifikasi konsep fisika ini diharapkan dapat dilanjutkan oleh peneliti berikutnya dalam pembuatan bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal. Kata Kunci : Konsep Fisika; kearifan lokal. Abstrack [Identifying Physics Concepts in Benteng None, a Tourism Object in Timor Tengah Selatan] This research has been conducted to identify physics concepts in Benteng None, a tourism object in Timor Tengah Selatan Regency. The local wisdoms identified included Lopo (a traditional building) construction, and traditionaal woven and weaving. This is a qualitative study naturraly as phenomenon in whch the reseacher directly colleted the data from the participants. The instruments used were interview, obeservation and documentations. The concepts being identified included lopo construction measurement, friction an wokr, elasticity, temperature and heat on construction materials of traditional woven, and weaving the result showed friction concept and rotation. It is expected of study by creating learning material based on local wisdom.
