The pattern of coal transportation is very dependent on the behaviour of the driver, which influences the effectiveness of travel time. Good driver behaviour will affect the optimization of travel time, and scenarios need to reduce travel time wastage. This study aims to optimize travel time and sensitivity analysis based on the influence of driver behaviour, truck travel movements and the use of travel time on coal haul roads. The research method uses a field survey with a GPS tracker, a smart GPS server 3.3, google earth and statistics. The results showed that the driver's behaviour greatly influenced the pattern of use of travel time and truck travel speed. Coal transportation in the morning can be more optimal than night so that that travel time wastage can reduced by 40%. The proposed optimization scenarios can save 36.7% - 48.61% of the existing travel time and the transport cycle can be increased to four to five times. So that with the addition of the cycle, it will increase the income of the transport company and the driver's income. With smart GPS, companies can improve the performance of transportation services in company management, get coal supplies on time.
The importance of knowing the factors that influence coal transportation travel time based on driver behavior through work motivation. This research to assess the effect of presents inferential statistical data that determined the impact of environmental psychology and technical factors such as operational operational, social, health conditions, road quality, truck conditions, and weather on the travel timeliness with intervening work motivation. The data collected from 116 coal drivers using coal haul private roads in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. The research method uses qualitative and quantitative with structured drivers demographic and behavior questionnaires distributed to drivers. Structural equation modeling (SEM) using the Warp. PLS version 6 package to display the primary data results. Result-based research analysis on the hypothesis shows the more significant the road quality of coal haul drivers will increase work motivation and travel timeliness via work motivation. The higher the work motivation of coal haul drivers will increase travel timeliness performance. Based on the research equation that increasing operational working conditions, social conditions, road quality, truck conditions, weather conditions, and work motivation tend to increase travel timeliness. However, for health conditions negatively affect travel timeliness through work motivation, so the better health conditions will reduce travel timeliness.
The study intends to acquire travel time behavior needed by Malang-Denpasar intercity bus (AKAP) considering sailing time of Ketapang-Gilimanuk. This research is a new thing to find out the inter-city bus travel time between islands. Where in this study the bus route connects the island of Java with the island of Bali. The interesting thing is that the travel time during the crossing at the port is part of the overall travel time identification. In addition, the presentation method using a trajectory table for inter-city bus travel routes is a more interesting presentation. Travel time of the bus is achieved by moving observer method (actual survey) where the surveyor is on the bus to track the travel. Interview is also conducted to get the experience of the respondents. The results are displayed in trajectory curve to present travel speed in each segment. In this study there are limitations that were carried out due to limited resources. This survey was only conducted in one round trip and 2 surveyors were mobilized. And what was noted during the survey was more about the travel time aspect. The results of this study provide an overview of travel time in outbound and inbound. In addition, the delay time that occurs during the trip is also identified. Actual survey shows that outbound journey is longer (13.9 hours) than inbound (11.13 hours). Delay time of outbound is 3.16 hours while that of inbound is 1.28 hours. Interview results longer travel time than that of actual survey. While sailing time of Ketapang and Gilimanuk harbour satisfies the minimum standard.
