This research aims to ascertain the relation between perception and motivation for master of midwifery program study towards students of semester VIII, study program of D-IV Midwife Educator Universitas Respati Yogyakarta Year 2015. This research is a descriptive analytic research applying crossectional approach. The technique of collecting sampling applied was proportional random sampling with a total of 125 students. The data were analyzed using Kendall’s Tau test. The result showed 94 respondents (75.2%) had positive perception and 83 respondents (66.4%) had average motivation. It was obtained that zcount was bigger than ztable (7.96>1.960) and the significance was 0.000 smaller than 0.05 (p<0.05) with a strong relation (=0.478). Keywords: Perception, Motivation, and Master of Midwifery Program Study Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan persepsi dengan motivasi untuk studi lanjut S2 Kebidanan pada mahasiswa semester VIII program studi D-IV Bidan Pendidik Universitas Respati Yogyakarta tahun 2015. Jenis penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan crossectional. Teknik pengambilan sampling yaitu proportional random sampling sebanyak 125 mahasiswa.
