the baby and affects the biological health of both mother and baby. However, the breastfeeding process could be hampered due to problems, one of which was mastitis. Mastitis occured due to the narrowing of the lactiferous ducts in the breast and the mother may have flat, sunken or immersed nipples. So that the breasts become swollen, painful when pressed so that the mother feels breast discomfort. The impact of mastitis greatly affected the health of both mother and baby. The mother would felt pain during breastfeeding so that she could experience high fever. Whereas in infants the need for breast milk was not optimal from the content of the milk. One of the efforts that could be done to overcome the occurrence of mastitis in nursing mothers was by applying a potato compress. This study aimed to determined the effect of potato compresses on non-infectious mastitis in nursing mothers. The research method used was pre-experiment (quasi-experimental) using the one group pre-test-post test technique. The population of this study were breastfeeding mothers with non-infectious mastitis with a sample size of 10 people with a purposive sampling technique. The results showed that using the Paired Sample T-Test analysis test obtained a p-value of 0.000 <α = 0.05, it can be concluded that there was an effect of Potato Compress on Non-Infectious Mastitis in Breastfeeding Mothers. It is recommended that health workers provide information for breastfeeding mothers about potato compresses to treat non-infectious mastitis. Keywords: Potato compress; non-infectious mastitis.
ABSTRAK Pre menopause is a physiological condition characterized by irregular menstruation. Symptoms that often arise such as hot flush, night sweats, restlessness, easy fatigue, pain during intercourse. Overcoming complaints of pre-menopausal non-pharmacological can be done with soy milk. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of soymilk in dealing with pre-menopausal complaints at the Midwife Maiharti Clinic, West Range 2020. This study used a quantitative method, with a quasi-experimental design with a control time series design. The study population was pre-menopausal mothers who experienced pre-menopausal symptoms at the Midwife Maiharti Clinic, West Range. The sample selection used purposive sampling as many as 18 people, 9 people were given intervention and 9 people as controls. The results of the study using Wilcoxon sign rank test obtained results for groups that were given pre and post p-value interventions 0.002 <0.05. The results of the study using Wilcoxon sign rank test obtained results for the control p-value 0.009 <0.05. The conclusion is that there are differences in the two groups after being given soy milk in dealing with pre-menopausal complaints
Changes in blood pressure are normal during pregnancy. Because, the hormone progesterone which is produced during pregnancy, can relax the walls of blood vessels. Sagging walls of blood vessels, can reduce blood pressure in the first trimester and second trimester of pregnancy. This condition can cause dizziness when sitting or standing suddenly. Normal blood pressure values in pregnant women do not differ from general conditions, which is 120/80 mmHg. If the blood pressure is recorded below 90/60 mmHg, this can indicate a blood pressure less. This research aims to To find out how the effectiveness of iron tablets on changes in blood pressure of pregnant women at Rosni Alizar Pratama Clinic, Medan Timur District, Deli Serdang Regency in 2020. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a Pretest-Posttest with control group approach. The study population was all pregnant women who did ANC examination at Rosni Alizar Pratama Clinic as many as 38 people. The sample selection using purposive sampling was calculated using the Slovin formula of 28 people. The results of the study used Wilcoxon test results obtained 0.157 and 1,000 > 0.05. It is expected that health workers on duty at the research site always measure vital signs for pregnant women during ANC visits. Measles and rubella is infectious diseases caused by measles virus and rubella transmitted through the respiratory tract. Measles and rubella highly contagious, and transmitted through splash sneezing or cough. Children who have never got measles and rubella immunization, or who have never had measles and rubella is the high risk of contracting the disiase.This study aims to know the factors related to the low coverage measles, rubella on toddler in the village of Simpang Tiga Pekan district Perbaungan district Serdang bedagai Year 2019. Research used in this study is deskritif quantitative by using the design of cross-sectional. Population in this study is around the mother that has a toddler 9 -59 months are in the village of Simpang Tiga Pekan. Sampling is done by techniques accidental sampling by the number of samles as much as 36 respondents. Research instruments by using the quetionnaire. Data were analyzed by univariate, bivariate with the chi-square test at level 95%, α = 5%. confidence. Analysis shows that there relationship knowledge mother by administering immunization MR (Measles, Rubella) with 95% (α = 0,05) p value = 0,000 confidence level, that there relationship attitude mother by administering immunization MR with 95% (α = 0,05) p value = 0,000 confidence level, that there relationship resources mother by administering immunization MR with 95% (α = 0,05) p value = 0,000 confidence level. Suuggested to mothers should always come at activities posyandu and do immunization regularly and active role in the activities of immunization and search for related information immunization in toddlers.
