Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), although often the subject of media discussion in general, is still related to misinformation regarding prevention and coping with the infection / disease. The study aimed to develop an Android application for use in health education actions with the intention of preventing Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)/AIDS infection; Identify the contributions of the Android application in health education actions and promote wide dissemination of the application. The study of qualitative approach was an action research developed in Jequié-Bahia as a conclusion of an undergraduate course in Information System. The results evidenced in the testing of the application with 60 high school students pointed to their contribution in health education actions related to the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS infection, which can be used by several population groups , because it is easy to access, simple manipulation and add the playful to educational action. The relevance of this study is the possibility of contributing to health education actions on HIV/AIDS infection in order to minimize the statistical data of the disease and to improve the quality of life and health of people who are already infected with HIV/AIDS.
