This study aims at investigating the student teachers’ anxiety related to the teaching practicum as well as the factors that contribute anxiety during teaching practicum, and exploring the student teachers’ strategies in overcoming their anxiety during teaching practicum. Qualitative research with a case study approach employed in this study. STKIP Invada Cirebon was chosen as the site and English student teachers were the participants of this study who did teaching practicum at SMK RISE Kota Cirebon, while the data were collected through interview and weekly journal. This study discover that students teachers’ anxiety related to the teaching is situation-specific anxiety, and the factors contribute anxiety can be grouped into six categories: being not familiar with the situations in the classroom, being observed by mentor or supervisor, incompetence in teaching, not match with expectations, less English proficiency, and classroom management. So that this study also identifies six categories of coping strategies employed by student teachers: adaptation, preparation, build a good relationship with the mentor and the students, self confidence, positive thinking, and keep calm and enjoy it. The findings of this study give insight for supervisor university, mentor, and student teachers about anxiety may arise during teaching practicum. Tanaman obat memiliki peran yang sangat penting untuk menjaga kesehatan, menjaga stamina tubuh, dan mengobati penyakit. Artikel ini kami buat untuk mengenalkan kepada masyarat terkait dengan tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA) yang merupakan tanaman yang sering kita jumpai bahkan kita gunakan sehari-hari untuk bahan dapur dirumah. Bahkan banyak juga tanaman liar yang dapat digunakan menjadi obat tradisional, adapun tanaman yang baik ditanam di halaman rumah yaitu daun kelor, sirih dan jahe. Namun masih banyak masyarakat yang belum mengetahui manfaat dari setiap tanaman. Pada kegiatan ini kami melakukan sosialisasi TOGA dengan metode secara langsung dimana pada kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh salah satu staf di UPTD Puskesmas Polongbangkeng Utara yang sekaligus menjadi Pemateri pada kegiatan tersebut. Sehubungan dengan program Bupati Takalar gagas satu rumah satu pohon kelor, maka kami juga memfokuskan pada kegiatan sosialisasi ini dalam pembuatan puding daun kelor sebagai makanan sehat keluarga. Seperti yang diketahui, daun kelor tidak hanya dapat dijadikan sebagai sayuran tetapi dapat dijadikan sebagai makanan dan cemilan yang enak dan memiliki gizi yang tinggi. Kegiatan sosialisasi TOGA memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat terkait manfaat tanaman obat keluarga terkhusus pada ibu-ibu di Kelurahan Palleko. Masyarakat di Kelurahan Palleko sangat antusias dengan kegiatan sosialisasi ini karna menambah pengetahuan mereka akan sumber pangan sehat untuk keluarga. The present study is an investigative one which aims at studying the attitude towards PPL program of EFL pre-service teachers. EFL pre-service teacher refers to those who have worked in one profession, such as training or education. PPL activities do not necessarily foster the interest and readiness of students to become teachers. The present study aims to compare the attitude of male and female EFL pre-service teachers towards PPL program. This study employed quantitative approach by using statistical technique as mean, standard deviation, and independent sample t-test. The population in this study amounted to 30 students (8 males and 22 females). The data were collected through the Teacher Attitude Inventory (TAI) developed by Ahluwalia (1971). It is a 90 items on 5 point Likert type scale as strongly agree (SA), agree (A), undecided (U), disagree (D), strongly disagree (SD). After the research data was collected and analyzed, the result showed that compare the attitude of male and female EFL pre-service teachers.
ICT is an important medium that can be used for teaching and learning in today's world. ICT in education means teaching and learning using different ICT devices. New challenges and opportunities in the field of education have been brought about by ICT to reorganize the teaching, learning and knowledge relocation environment. ICT breakthroughs have also released new avenues for students and teachers. The present study aims to examine what types of ICT used by the teacher in their English classroom. This study employed qualitative research by using descriptive qualitative design. The participant of this study was one of EFL teacher of one private university. The data were collected through two instruments, such classroom observation and field notes. Based on the data analysis, the results of this study showed that EFL teachers used various types of ICT to facilitate the delivery of learning in their English pedagogical practice. In addition, ICT has many challenges for EFL teachers in incorporating ICT in their English classroom.
