The efficient, simple, and environment-friendly route of direct cyanation of picolinamides has been developed with nontoxic K4[Fe(CN)6] as the cyanide source through Pd-catalyzed C–H bond activation. A series of N-(naphthalene-1-yl)picolinamide derivatives were successfully transformed to the corresponding cyanation products. The cyanation mechanism has also been speculated.
A simple and efficient route for the preparation of terphenyl derivatives via palladium-catalyzed sequential directed C-H arylation/Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling in 'one-pot' has been developed. 4,4′-(Cyclohexane-1,1-diyl)diphenol is an essential ligand. This reaction can tolerate a series of functional groups and provides the terphenyl derivatives in moderate to good yield.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
