This paper presents a procedure for evaluating the performance of reverberation chambers, by approximating the maximum working volume in a given configuration. The evaluation of this volume is based on the geometrical and physical constraints, e.g., the ones related to the internal E-field distribution recommended by standards. The importance of the present work is related to the development of a non-canonical reverberation chamber configuration, whose excitation is carried out by transmission lines, instead of antennas plus paddles.
This paper presents the use of transmission-line modelling -time domain (TLM-TD) method to analyse the fields in mode stirred reverberation chambers excited by wires. It will be shown how the fields inside the chamber are distributed for a large range of excited frequencies. The work intends to develop a numerical procedure to verify the effectiveness and usefulness of the TLM method to electromagnetic compatibility problems. The numerical model presented here is based on the classical symmetrical condensed 3D node. The simulations will be compared with method of moments results obtained in available benchmark data. Some comments are made on comparisons between the two techniques.
This paper presents a hybrid mono/multiobjective optimization approach based on numerical, statistical, and fitness evaluation concerning the conductor positions in a transmission line excitation chamber (TLEC). The field profile and the related indexes of merit, as well as statistical ones, regarding the working volumes (WVs) are used to evaluate the chamber configuration performance. The compromise between WV and-field, constrained by the-field standard deviation, is shown through Pareto's front. An index of merit based on area calculation under Pareto's front is defined and used for transmission line set comparison.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
