Naso-pharyngeal masses are the most frequently misdiagnosed and the most poorly understood of all the tumours of upper respiratory tract (Scanlon et al., 1958). It is because the nasopharynx is not easily accessible to clinical examination and is considered a n anatomic "blind spot". Frequently masses in rhe nasopharynx remain undetected until metastasis or complications appear. Roentgenology plays an important role not only in the early diagnosis and detection of naso-pharyngeal masses but also provides precise information relating to site of origin and the pattern of spread of these lesions. The objective of this article is to emphasize the role of adequate radiological examination in suspected or proven cases of nasopharyngeal lesions.
