Computer programming is the implementation of a logical and coherent way of thinking even in simple problems. Computer programming training with visual basic is one way to take advantage of existing facilities in Microsoft Excel with a more attractive appearance so that it improves the way students learn. The training was carried out with participants of class X Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering Skills at Pangudi Luhur Muntilan Vocational School. The results of this training, students feel that this training is very useful, interesting, suitable, increases motivation to learn and adds insight or provisions after graduation.
Proses pengeringan jamur kuping masih memiliki persoalan terutama di musim hujan. Diperlukan inovasi baru terhadap mesin pengering jamur kuping untuk menggantikan peranan matahari. Penelitian ini selain bertujuan untuk mendapatkan inovasi baru mesin pengering jamur kuping, juga untuk (1) mengetahui besarnya kinerja atau COP mesin pengering jamur kuping dan (2) mengetahui pengaruh adanya kipas di ruang pengering terhadap lamanya waktu pengeringan jamur kuping. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimen, dengan mempergunakan massa awal jamur kuping basah sebanyak 12 kg. Variasi penelitian dilakukan terhadap ada dan tidak adanya kipas di dalam ruang pengering. Mesin pengering dibuat dengan melibatkan mesin yang bekerja dengan siklus kompresi-uap. Total energi listrik yang diperlukan sebesar 806 watt. Selain diperolehnya teknologi tepat guna berupa mesin pengering jamur kuping, penelitian ini memberikan hasil: (1) mesin pengering memiliki COP sebesar 12,21 (2) bila ada satu kipas di dalam ruang pengering, waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk mengeringkan jamur kuping selama 715 menit (11 jam 55 menit), dan bila tidak ada kipas, selama 955 menit (15 jam 55 menit).

Computer programming skills can increase creativity. Computer programming can help improve work efficiency, such as repetitive calculations often encountered in the design of machine elements. However, computer programming generally requires a computer or laptop, which is an obstacle for students in learning programming because they generally do not have computer or laptop facilities. In this service activity, the community service team will introduce another alternative to learning programming, namely using a cellphone (HP). Students from the two vocational schools have cellphones, but they have not been used for programming. The students are generally new to using cellphones for communication, social media or games (games). The HP has not been used as a learning tool due to ignorance, the impression that programming is complicated, and not realizing the benefits of programming itself. The service team will introduce programming using cellphones to change the paradigm so that it is hoped that students can develop programming skills independently from this service activity. It is hoped that vocational students will be more creative and develop programming skills according to their work. In addition, the output targets of this service are sending articles to community service journals uploading information on the web and social media.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan kondisi udara masuk terhadap kondisi udara keluaran air cooler. Selain itu juga untuk mendapatkan nilai efektivitas rata rata air cooler. Suhu udara masuk divariasikan, tetapi memiliki kelembapan spesifik w yang sama. Proses penurunan suhu udara, terjadi pada saat udara melewati beberapa cooling pad yang permukaannya dialiri air. Proses pendinginan udara diasumsikan berjalan secara evaporative cooling. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimen, dengan mempergunakan air cooler buatan sendiri. Untuk suhu udara masuk berturut turut: 30oC, 35oC, 40oC dan 45oC, dihasilkan suhu udara keluaran berturut turut sebesar 26,27oC, 27,66oC, 29,10oC, 30,9 oC dengan efektivitas rata rata air cooler 89,5%.
One of the problems faced by middle to lower economic class people in big cities is drying clothes, both in the dry season and in the rainy season. Artificial clothes drying equipment is needed that can replace the role of solar energy. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of electric energy clothes dryers and the length of time needed to dry clothes on a household scale. The clothes dryer works by using a heat-pump based on the vapor-compression cycle. The total power of the heat pump is 200 watt. The working fluid of the heat-pump is R134a. The working fluid used to dry clothes is air, using a closed airflow system. The research was carried out experimentally by varying the amount of clothes in the drying chamber. The clothes dryer performance (COP) of the heat pump is 7.94. Drying time for 15, 25 and 40 clothes respectively for 210 minutes, 330 minutes and 450 minutes.
