Bee products were already used in ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome. They were used not only as food, improving taste and consistency, but also as medicinal preparations. Skin care with honey was very well known to Cleopatra. Honey is a source of active substances with rejuvenating, anti-wrinkle and nutritional effects. Today we know there are many more uses of bee products than ever before. The most common in natural medicine and cosmetology are honey, beeswax, bee pollen, royal jelly, propolis and bee venom, which is compared to the currently used botox. Due to its rich chemical composition, these honey products are widely used in both natural medicine and cosmetology. They can be an excellent drug as well as a cosmetic. They are used for the production of cosmetics for every kind of skin and body parts. They are used in home care as well in the beauty salons. Unfortunately, their use is also subject to certain risks of side effects, allergies, and there are contraindications to their use.
