ResumenEste artículo propone una revisión sobre: metacognición, motivación y pensamiento crítico como una reflexión a los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje en la formación de sujetos. El análisis teórico evidenció que el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico, a partir del fomento de estrategias metacognitivas y aspectos motivacionales del estudiante, garantizan un ambiente flexible para aprender-aprender, y con ello garantizar la calidad en la educación. De esta manera en los ambientes educativos se espera concebir metodologías que conlleven al crecimiento crítico del sujeto, en términos de que cuestionen, analicen y reconozcan la realidad social en la cual están inmersos. AbstractThis article proposes a revision on: metacognition, motivation and critical thinking as a reflection of the teaching-learning process within the formation of individuals. Theoretical analysis showed that critical thinking development,becomes more effective through the promotion of metacognitive strategies and students motivational aspects in order to ensure a flexible environment for learning-learning and thereby ensure quality in education. In this way it is expected that educational environments conceive methodologies that lead to the subjects critical growth, in terms of questioning, analyzing and recognizing the social reality in which they are immersed.
