The research paper "Targeting the Digital Consumer: A Study of the Role of Social Media in Modern Advertising" aims to investigate the significance of social media in contemporary advertising and its impact on the behavior of digital consumers. The study adopts a qualitative approach, utilizing interviews with advertising professionals and online survey responses from consumers. The findings suggest that social media has become a vital tool for advertisers to reach a broad audience and create engagement with potential customers. Furthermore, social media allows for more personalized and targeted advertising, based on user behavior and preferences. The study also identifies that using social media influencers and usergenerated content can significantly increase brand awareness and sales. However, the research also highlights that there are challenges associated with social media advertising, including the difficulty of measuring the effectiveness of campaigns and the need for transparency in disclosing sponsored content. The study concludes that while social media presents significant opportunities for modern advertising, advertisers must approach it with caution and develop strategies that prioritize consumer engagement and transparency.
A historical analysis of the communication, education and environment relationship is presented, through the variables Scenarios, Perspectives, Representations, Illusion and Reality, adapted from the scenic configuration and applied as denominators of the articulations between the three fields. The research is qualitative and descriptive. Documentary research and content analysis were used as a method. The constitution of three Scenarios and four kinds of Representations were identified: dependent, eventual, convergent and integral. It is concluded that the conceptions of development have directed the Perspectives of the fields and each Scenario has taken two guidelines, one supported in the construction of an official discourse, directed and based on illusion and another alternative, product of emerging positions that defend and they face the reality of the environmental dimension and its relationship with the human being.

Primary data source include survey with OTT platform users, while secondary data source encompass studies and reports by media research firms and industry analysts. This combination of data sources provides a comprehensive view of the changes brought about by streaming services. The analysis of both primary and secondary data highlights the shift from linear Tv to on demand viewing, the rise in binge-watching, and the increase in diversity of content due to original programming. The data also shows that personalized recommendation have made it easier for viewers to discover new shows and movies. Overall, the data supports the conclusion that streaming services have transformed the way people engage with and consumer media.
