Kinetics of the chlorination of Nb 2 O 5 powder by CCl 4 vapor in mixture with N 2 in a static bed in the temperature range of 698 to 853 K were carried out at different partial pressures of CCl 4 ( ), p CCl4 varying from 0.10 to 0.75 atm. The fraction of Nb 2 O 5 chlorinated R at of 0.6 atm in the p CCl4 temperature range of 698 to 773 K was found to be proportional to time t, and the activation energy E is calculated to be 112 kJ/mole. Results on the effect of (0.4, 0.6, and 0.75 atm) at 723 K p CCl4 suggest that the rate v (R/min) is proportional to . However, at of 0.2 atm, R is not linear
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
