(b) In polycrystalline specimens of intermetallic SmFe, the temperature dependences are measured of the sound velocity and of the sound absorption coefficients. By contrast with earlier investigations, anomalies are detected in the acoustic properties at two spin-reorientation temperatures rather than at one. The temperature dependences are characterized by a hysteresis. Possible causes of the observed anomalies in the acoustic properties of SmFe, are discussed.In polykristallinen Proben von intermetallischem SmFe, werden die Temperaturabhangigkeiten der Schallgeschwindigkeit und der Schallabsorptionskoeffizienten gemessen. Im Gegensatz zu fruheren Untersuchungen werden Anomalien in den akustischen Eigenschaften bei zwei Spin-Reorientierungstemperaturen statt bei einer gefunden. Die Temperaturabhangigkeiten sind durch eine Hysterese charakterisiert. Mogliche Grunde fur die beobachteten Anomalien in den akustischen Eigenschaften des SmFe, werden diskutiert.
