120 received a follow-up prescription (79%). A total of 287 patients received treatment (90%). Follow-up treatment rate was 81.1% for Chlamydia, 78% for gonorrhea, and 53% for dual-infected patients. Disease burden (46%) and undertreatment rate (55.5%) was greatest among adults between 20-29 years. Female patients had a lower empiric treatment rate (44%) compared to males (72%). Conclusion: Overall STI treatment rates from ED-based diagnosis were 90%. The largest opportunities for improvement exist in young adult females with chlamydia between 20 and 29 years.
