A modified version of the quinary ring scaler was developed incorporating speed-up techniques which had previously been applied only to individual current-mode switches. Computer evaluation of this circuit, using the generalized circuit analysis program NET I, indicated that a minimum theoretical triple pulse resolution time of 1.2 nsec was possible in an idealized environment. An experimental version of this circuit had a minimum double pulse resolving time of 1.7 nsec. This value is equivalent to a periodic repetition rate of approximately 600 MHz.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
