The article raises one of the urgent problems in modern sports of the highest achievements - the problem of psychological support for the superiority of athletes. Considered as one of the priority directions of state policy. Modern sport is distinguished by a significant intensity of training loads, a reduction in time limits in the preparation of athletes, a great personal responsibility, both a coach and an athlete for the result in competitions of various levels. All of these factors affect the mental state of the athlete. In this connection, disturbances in the stability of the neuropsychic state, psycho-emotional lability and tension, and low resistance to stress may appear. It is obvious that there is a need for psychological support of athletes at all stages of sports activity in order to form stress resistance, an active life position, a competitive and healthy personality. Excellence in sports is considered as the achievement of high sports results, the peak of skill in sports activities, as well as the achievement of the athlete's superiority in setting and implementing the goal, the sports activity itself and to ensure the quality of the sports process as an end result. In our opinion, psychological support in elite sports is a system for managing the processes of an athlete's personality development, mental states, processes of social behavior, adaptation of an athlete to the end of a sports professional career, as well as a study of the psychological patterns of mental improvement in the process of sports formation. Psychological support of athletes at different stages of the development of a sports career is an important component of the activity of a sports psychologist and includes the following areas: primary psychological diagnostics; psychodiagnostic control; psychological correction; psychological counseling of athletes, their parents (if necessary), coaches.
One of the urgent problems in modern sports is the study of emotional states in athletes. This is due to the changing socio-economic conditions that affected sports activities. An increase in loads, high competition lead to a high level of stress and an increase in emotional stress. Emotions show the state of the athlete and his attitude to a particular sports situation. The article reveals the theoretical and practical aspects of the problem of emotional states of athletes. Emotional states are a set of psychophysiological phenomena, where, in addition to motor reactions, various changes appear in the course of processes and are associated with different manifestations of emotions. They are distinguished by individuality, polarity, variability, integrity. Criteria for emotional states are presented. The purpose of the research is to reveal the severity of manifestations of emotional states of athletes in the conditions of the training process. The study sample consisted of 1545 athletes aged 14-18 years, of which the share of boys was 68.5%, girls - 31.5%. It was carried out on the basis of GAUZ SO "Multidisciplinary Clinical Medical Center" Bonum ". Within the framework of the study, attention was paid to such indicators as: well-being, activity, mood, neuropsychic stability, interest, emotional tone, comfort. The conducted research allows us to make a conclusion. In general, athletes are dominated by mental well-being, positive emotional states, a desire to practice playing skills with enthusiasm and attention, with the manifestation of a cognitive need, good health, mood, sustained interest and concentration in the implementation of a sports game, full inclusion in the training process.
Abstract. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that recently it is possible to notice a trend in the popularity of sports, an increase in the requirements for athletes (high-quality performance of sports activities, functions, the ability to develop potential capabilities), which determine success in sports and competitiveness. The article discusses various factors that affect the effectiveness and success of an athlete: individual psychological characteristics of a personality, his professionally important qualities, motivational sphere, mental states, volitional efforts. Among the listed factors, reflection is of no small importance as one of the professionally important qualities of an athlete. The theoretical analysis of the psychological and pedagogical literature made it possible to conclude that reflection is an activity that must be trained, master its features and use in one's sports activity. It acts as a system-forming characteristic of the cognitive activity of an individual, which allows one to build new patterns of one's behavior, to develop certain knowledge. The study of the problems of reflection in sports has both theoretical and practical significance in sports psychology and pedagogy. The systematic manifestation of reflection by an athlete contributes to the development of reflexivity as a quality. As a result, his recognition of the planned actions on the playing field will allow him to plan his actions in this situation. The article presents a meaningful characteristic of different types and forms of reflection. The aim of the research is to determine the level and types of reflexivity in athletes. The study involved 1545 athletes - students of sports schools of the Olympic reserve, children and youth schools, national teams of the Sverdlovsk region, Masters of Sports, Candidates for Master of Sports, athletes with I, II, III categories at the age of 14-18 years.
