The light absorption and concentration dependence of the thermopower in BaTiO, conducting single crystals were investigated. The absorption peak at t = 2 pm is interpreted as due to small polaron absorption. A quantitative comparison is made between theory and experiment.
The energy dependence of the differential cross section for H+-He scattering at fixed scattering angle has been measured in a high-resolution crossed-beam experiment. The energy range investigated was from 100 meV to a few eV. In the vicinity of Ecrit = 0.5 eV and below, we observe structures in the cross sections which are attributed to the influence of orbiting scattering in this range of collision energies. These results represent the first observation of orbiting structures in an ion scattering experiment. The experimental data are compared with theoretical calculations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
