The paper presents the ideas of finite-difference Lagrangian-Eulerian technique LEGAK-3D for computation of time-dependent multicomponent continuum flows in 3D geometry. The specific feature of this technique is in the use of concentrations for multicomponent medium computations. The paper also describes main principles of this technique implementation on distributed-memory multiprocessor systems.
Results of numerical simulations of the interface coating influence on the shear instability growth in oblique collision of metal slabs are presented. The state of materials was described in the elastic-plastic approximation. The dependence of the perturbation amplitude on the coating thickness and behavior were studied. The computations were conducted on a multiprocessor distributed-memory computer.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
