Abstract-In the educational centers of rural education in Antioquia (Colombia), the children, adolescents and teachers find themselves exposed to threats in the form of socio-natural, anthropic, and technological and find themselves vulnerable which impedes the guarantee of education as an inalienable and absolute right which facilitates access to all other fundamental rights. With this in mind, a methodology was developed in phases based on the perspective of human rights and the role rural educational institutions play and their context locally, to document the benefits of the inclusion of the assessment of the risk disasters have upon rural education. The methodology was implemented in two (2) rural education centers in the towns of Amalfi and El Peñol (Antioquia) whose results allowed the development of educational plans to assess the risk adopted locally in each institution.
