Francisco de Paula Santander Ocaña University has a botanic garden. The University Botanic Garden Jorge Enrique Quintero Arenas was created with the mission of preserving the dry forest ecosystem and the types of vegetation and flora present in the northeast of Colombia, providing adequate spaces for research and environmental education. From new technologies that can be integrated without affecting the environment and generate various changes in the way of learning, solutions are proposed for continuous improvement, which in the end is done in favor of sustainability, quality of life and a smart botanic garden. This paper presents the results of the software prototype, whose purpose is to make known all the biodiversity that is available. It was done through a digital album applying augmented reality, where those interested will find the different species with their relevant information.
This article aims to design a metropolitan network based on fiber optic and wireless links to support the monitoring of COVID-19. Its main function is to support the monitoring and control of the COVID-19, through intelligent technologies of both software and hardware needed to obtain data in real-time, which facilitates decision making. There is currently no platform that allows real-time communication between the entities involved. This first phase was developed through a description of the integration of these bodies through the infrastructure of the Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander, Ocana, Colombia. Among the results obtained, it is noted that the 28 GHz subcarrier can cross the 25 km fiber link without any problem and the physical topology of the Metropolitan network is designed, which integrates both wireless and wired technology, including their properties and physical, mechanical, and electrical characteristics more representative as distances, speeds, interfaces, coding, and signaling.
The main objective of this article is to show the phases of the development of a mobile application. It allows to give support to the optimization of the milk production and goats feeding processes in the experimental farm of the “Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander, Seccional Ocaña”. In the first phase, an analysis was made of the different manual processes under physical formats currently carried out by the goat project manager, allowing the raising of system requirements. In the second, the systematization of information capture through user-friendly interfaces on a Mobile App is carried out. In the final phase, the processes were validated with the application impact. The features allowed a notable improvement in the processes execution. The goat project managers were able to have greater control of the information and a clearer focus on how productive each goat has been. As a result, the consultations, reports, traceability and identification of procedures and sanitary interventions to each one of the goats were speeded up. In the same way, it is possible to generate a support tool for decision making in all aspects of the administration of the experimental farm.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
