In this paper a novel control strategy presented to integration of Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) with Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) for overcoming the voltage sag issues on wind farms where connected to the grid. The interaction between wind generators and grid cause increasing short circuit current level and instability problem during fault condition. A new control strategy established for generation reference signals of series converter (SERC) and shunt converter (SHUC) by using PHEV as an energy storage system (ESS). This control scheme can fulfill compensation all types of voltage sags. PHEV provides the energy storage of DC link between SERC and SHUC parts of UPQC. Also this control scheme proposed a dual control of real and reactive power transaction between wind energy conversion system based SCIG (WECS-SCIG) and grid. As well as, fuzzy logic controller (FLC) makes a fast dynamic response. The simulation results can verified the high efficiency of proposed strategy to enhancement of voltage sag compensation.
