This article suggests a modular approach to the organization of the process of teaching physics to students of engineering specialties. The definition of the module (Gnitetskaya, T.N., 2004) is given. The article describes in detail the modular technology education, as well as the psychological grounds for the modular technology education.
There is a big gap between level of multimedia possibilities and level of using multimedia in training physics at the universities. In this paper the advantages and disadvantages of Power Point physics lectures are described. It is noted that one from important advantages is coordination of Power Point with Learning Management System. The examples of writing formulas, drawing graphics in time are presented in this paper. It is described the animated image illustrating the operation of a heat engine with the help of aniline drop. Test results allow us to give in this paper some guidelines on slide design to make information perceiving from the screen easier for students.
This article justifies the necessity of organization of goal-oriented activity in teaching physics to first-year students of engineering majors. It was shown that creation of conditions for the formation of motives helps students proceed to the scientific level of mental reflection adequate to the requirements of university training. The article provides examples of the organization of groups competitions when establishing personal and collective responsibility.
This paper presents the idea of implementing a quantitative information equivalent for a learning module enabling the teacher to control the volume of contents comprising the module. Filtering, systematization and optimization of such contents can be performed based on information parameters calculation. A brief description of the sense structures and information parameters method, information volume and minimum perception time, is given. A graph on physics module on the topic Kinematics and Dynamics of a Material Point and an optimization example of the lecture included into the module are presented. The authors conclude that this approach will allow designing the modern learning process for the engineers-to-be taking into account the information limits.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
