Article is devoted to studying of the didactic approach to teaching foreign languages. One of the key elements of foreign languages teaching is didactic approach, which organize and manage the process of teaching and is aimed at achieving the best result. It is very important to chose the appropriate didactic principles and organ-ize its activity in pedagogical process. As a result of analyses of Russian and foreign methodologist in the ar-ticle we made the attempt to elicit and prove the main and effective principles of didactic approach to im-prove the communicative competence of the learners in the conditions of trilingual education.
Advancement of technology nowadays shows English has become necessary to be mastered and taught to students. Many media tools can be used in teaching language skills. One such widely used media is considered video website YouTube.com since it is the social medium that is positively appraised most by all learners. With adequate access to the internet, learners could use YouTube videos as the valuable tool to develop multiple foreign language skills. This research explored the types of EFL YouTube videos mostly watched by secondary students to enhance speaking skills in the school for gifted children in Kazakhstan. After analyzing the content of YouTube videos, a mixed-methods study was employed to reveal the most preferable categories of video websites that might be valuable to boost communication proficiency in English. Data collection was via a questionnaire with 288 Secondary Education students’ participation. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed descriptively. The findings of the study indicated that Secondary Education students had a positive attitude towards using YouTube videos to learn English speaking skills. In addition, participants’ responses showed that mostly used categories were found regarding English films, songs and vlogs. Authors also identified that the most preferable types of YouTube videos helped learners to become motivated and confident throughout the experiment.
This article describes the methods of teaching a foreign language at school using the concept of humane pedagogy. The authors analyze the current situation in a modern school, and also propose specific methods of working with educational material in English lessons, which help an English teacher to form humane personality traits in students. The article also draws special attention to the potential of literary texts, proverbs, sayings and features of English speech etiquette for educating students from the position of a humane approach to teaching
The article is devoted to the problem of improving the quality and efficiency of foreign language teaching methods in the system of postgraduate education. The author proposes a methodology for developing professional reading skills in the context of teaching professional English communication for law students using pragma-professional technologies. Professionally oriented reading of legal novels contributes to developing scholars': intellectual potential, integrated professional competence, socio-cultural knowledge, professional outlook, and creative abilities. Objectives: to substantiate the need to improve the effectiveness of lawyer's communicative competence in a foreign language by developing a methodology for the formation of various educational strategies based on a literary work of a legal orientation within the framework of the course "Language for Specific Purposes," which combines the principles of communicative, interactive learning using innovative technologies. Methods / Approach: In order to solve the objectives, methods were used such as: theoretical (conceptual and terminological analysis of basic definitions, modelling, system analysis) and empirical methods (diagnostic tests for postgraduates and teachers, experimental sections for, observations, comparison, analysis and systematization of experiment data). Conclusion: the reading effectiveness in a foreign language is increased when teaching law postgraduates law to read works of art in a foreign language based on a specially developed strategy.
