The application of business intelligence methods is usually oriented on a specific type of business. This article is focused on the business intelligence data analysis of a sample loan dataset. There are a lot of well-known methods for analysing loan datasets. The research aim is to find some dependencies in a sample loan dataset which are not visible using techniques like sorting, filtering and pivoting. The following software products are used: Alyuda Neurointelligence and MS Power BI. As a result of the analysis it is proved that the amount of a loan depends mainly on the "born in the region" and "gender" factors. The analysis of the loan dataset in Alyuda Neurointelligence (using Input Importance) shows that the factor "born in the region" is the most important one affecting the amount of a loan. But the input importance shows only the possible strength of the influence of various factors on the amount of the loan and not the direction of their influence. The direction of their influence is found by applying the one-way ANOVA method in PSPP. The analysis of the loan dataset in Power BI shows some interesting dependencies. For debtors born outside the region, the difference in total loan amounts rises to over 4.5 times in favour of men. The average loan amount of debtors who were born outside the region is about 2.5 times greater than the average loan amount of debtors born in the region.
This study examines the influence of melatonin on the PC anticoagulant pathway in rats. The experiment was performed on 52 male white Wistar rats weighing 200-220 g. Animals were equally divided into 4 groups. They were treated in three consecutive days, every 12 hours, subcutaneously: 1 st group -with saline solution (solvent for melatonin and luzindole); 2 nd group -with melatonin, daily dose 0.2 mg/kg body weight; 3 rd group -with luzindole, nonstop dose of 0.4 mg/kg body weight; 4th group -melatonin, one hour after pretreatment with luzindole. The required amount of blood was taken under urethane narcosis via direct cardiac puncture. After three days of administration of melatonin, a significant decrease in the antigen concentration of protein C, protein C activity, activated protein C and thrombomodulin was observed. The soluble form of the endothelial receptor for protein C, activity of protein S and free protein S were significantly elevated. The competitive melatonin receptor antagonist -luzindole, when administered alone and in pretreatment, effectively removes the observed effects of melatonin by blocking exogenous, as well as endogenous melatonin. In conclusion, our data give us reason to assume that melatonin significantly reduces the activity of the protein C anticoagulant pathway in rats.
Effects of the hormones of the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis on some basic parameters of the activity of protein C anticoagulation pathway in rats are studied. Thyrotropin-releasing hormone (0.06 mg/kg body mass), thyrotropin (1 IU/kg), triiodothyronine (T3) (0.08 mg/kg), thyroxine (T4) (0.08 mg/kg), administered subcutaneously for three consecutive days on four different groups of rats increased significantly activated protein C, free protein S and protein S activity, and reduced the soluble endothelial protein C receptor. Protein C antigen and total protein S were significantly elevated only by thyrotropin-releasing hormone and thyroid-stimulating hormone, but they were not affected by T3 and T4 treatment. The data indicate the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis is involved in the regulation of the protein C anticoagulation pathway in rats by activation of this system, suggesting a tendency of hypocoagulability.
