This chapter revolves around the impact of socio-political diaspora to the concept of tribal-ancestral land, which is sacred to the community and the cultural identity of the T'boli, an ethno-linguistic group. A narrative discourse approach is used to illustrate the tribe's struggles to the existing hegemony, particularly with the dynamics between the tribe and other inhabitants, the intrusions of other values and exploitations of their ancestral domains as explored across a changing sociocultural milieu. In an attempt to provide understanding of cultural identity amidst the changing social landscapes, the authors describe, identify, explore, and interpret the subject. Hence, the chapter provides the worldview of T'boli people and offers a narrative juxtaposition of the three opuses from three different fields. Further research is needed to ensure protection and preservation of the T'boli culture and its identity and indigenous significance within Southeast Asia and, specifically, the Philippines to better understand this land-based culture.

Human beings are inherently relational. To relate may mean to communicate, interact, transact, engage, involve and even just be with another person. It may imply fulfilling and satisfying the needs of one another. In a more altruistic tone, the relationship is giving and receiving. Others see a relationship as a social exchange. In contrast, others may see it as a social and ethical contract that ought to adhere. Others see a relationship as an instrument as a means to self-actualize or as a process of reaching the self-potential. There are many types of relationships. While others have a formal set of rules, there are interpersonal relationships that have loose code of affair. Among the dimensions of relationship, intimate interpersonal relationships are complicated. In contrast to business affair, marriage and in other intimate partnership, sanctions, roles and rules are not clearly defined. The ambiguity of interpersonal relationships reflects the dynamisms of its elements. Since its fluid, contextual and multi-faceted, there is no exact point of analysis. In this article, awareness, dialog, groundedness, embodiment are discussed in the light of intimate partner conflicts that are amplified using fictional case vignettes that are adopted from real cases of intimate conflict. This article concludes with the assertion that cultivation of relationships starts with the person.

This chapter discusses the role of telepsychology in the response to the pandemic in the Philippines. In response to this crisis, professionals and organizations offered online services instead of the usual face-to-face interactions in observance of the implemented quarantine and social distancing. Consequently, telepsychology became a viable tool for addressing mental health issues. This chapter discusses the author’s experience in doing telepsychology and the actions taken by other service providers; ethical and legal issues in the practice of telepsychology; and challenges in light of sociocultural and economic milieus. As an emerging economy, many Filipinos live below the poverty line and have little or no internet access. The Filipino family system, beliefs about mental health and illness, and the physical arrangement of a typical Filipino household also pose challenges. This chapter also examines amendments of existing protocols and policies to include telehealth platforms.
