Introduction: Treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) may become a problem when the patients show no adherence to the treatment and feel bored with its long duration. This condition may lead to the drop out in the treatment. Therefore, this study aimed at analyzing the effects of self-management education on the quality of life of patients with pulmonary TB. Method: The design of this study is quasi-experiment conducted in 3 Puskesmas (Community Health Center), in which 150 respondents was divided into 2 groups: 75 respondents in the control group and 75 respondents in the treatment group. They were chosen as the samples by using simple random sampling technique. The data were collected by conducting pretest to measure the quality of life, doing intervention through self-management education, and finally providing posttest. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by using Mann Whitney U test and Wilcoxon signed rank test.Result: Change in perceptions that this disease is infected by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the right place for the treatment is Puskesmas or hospitals, and a high hope for the cure needs supports form the family and medical workers Conclusion, self-management education increases the quality of life of the patients with pulmonary TB. The future research is expected to analyze their life expectancy more deeply.
Efforts to prevent the spread of covid-19 through social media by providing information about covid-19. The study aims to determine the effect of social media on covid19 on hand washing behavior, mask wearing and physical distancing among Indonesian students. A pre-experimental research method with pre-test and post-test design. The research sample was 5400 students who were taken using simple random sampling technique. Health education interventions are given through social media and then the data is collected by distributing questionnaires with google form. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that after intervention through social media about covid-19 there was a change in transmission prevention behavior (p value 0.046), hand washing behavior (p value 0.011), mask wearing (p value 0.014), and physical distancing (p value 0.000). Social media is effectively used to provide health education because it can increase student knowledge and influence behavior in preventing covid-19 transmission

Pre-Experimental research design with one group pre-post test design approach. The number of samples is 70 students consisting of grades 4, 5 and 6. Sampling using probability sampling with stratified random sampling technique and using a questionnaire as a measuring instrument. Data were analyzed using Paired T-Test with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the study using Paired T-Test obtained a value of ρ = 0,000 with a significance level of α = 0.05 means ρ <α, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted which means that there is an influence of health education on snack foods on snack food preferences elementary school students at SDN Jagir 1/393 Surabaya. The conclusion of this study is that health education has an effect on elementary students on the preference of snack foods. Statistical tests using Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney with significance level α ≤ 0.05. Results: The results showed there was an influence of health education demonstration and video playback methods on knowledge, attitudes, and practice abilities with a value of p= 0,000 (p<α), there were differences in the influence of health education demonstration methods and video playback on knowledge, attitudes and practice abilities with p value= 0.001 (p<α). Discussion: Demonstration and video playback methods can improve knowledge, attitudes, and practice abilities compared to before being given treatment, so adolescents experience behavioral changes and expect health values to be well embedded, health status to be good, and finally teens able to be independent in health problems
