Magnetic resonance D 6560Molecular H2 Trapped in AlH3 Solid. -AlH3 samples are characterized by static and MAS NMR spectroscopy, and neutron scattering. A comparatively narrow feature in the proton NMR spectrum is due to H2 trapped within the solid, presumably from earlier processing procedures or partial decomposition. Similar NMR signatures in other hydrogen-storage solids such as NaAlH4 may also be due to trapped H2. -(SENADHEERA, L.; CARL, E. M.; IVANCIC, T. M.; CONRADI*, M. S.; BOWMAN, R. C. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
