Abstract:The aim of this study was primarily to investigate the effects of morphological awareness training in acquiring vocabulary of EFL' Learners. The design of this study was quasi-experiment design. The total population of this study was 263 studentsat the first grade from SMPN 2 Singosari. The sample was 66 students consist of 33 students from class VIIE as control group and 33 students from class VIIG as experimental group. There were two independent variable, control group and experimental group. The experimental group received 5 lessons on strategies whereas the control group did not. Vocabulary Measurement test that adapted from Coxhead (2000) were used and descriptive statistics were reported. In this study the effectiveness of Morphological Awareness was investigated by using independent sample t-test.The result showed that tcounted was lower than tcritical (-18.00<2.000) with P value 0.00 (df=64). The P value was less than 0.05 which it indicated that there is significant differences between control and experimental group.The result of this study has shown that there was an effect of morphological awareness training in acquiring students' vocabulary. Also, the findings have shown that students had motivation to practice their vocabulary ability. Morphological awareness also makes the learner more aware of the writing system.
Tujuan dilaksanakannya Pelatihan Desain Web bagi UMKM yang berasal dari 3 Wilayah adat Kabupaten Jayapura adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan UMKM menggunakan Google Site, Wix, HTML dan CSS. Pelatihan Desain Web juga merupakan salah satu wujud dari misi Dinas Kominfo Kabupaten Jayapura yaitu meningkatnya kualitas SDM dalam bidang komunikasi dan Informatika dan masih kurangnya Pengetahuan UMKM dari 3 (tiga) wilayah adat Kabupaten Jayapura dalam merancang website usahanya sendiri dengan memanfaatkan Website Buider (Google Site dan Wix), HTML dan CSS. Lokasi kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan secara luring di Laboratorium Komputer Distrik Nimboran pada tanggal 6 sampai dengan 8 Oktober 2022. Metode Pelaksanaan yaitu melalui tahapan analisa permasalahan, Persiapan, Pelaksanaan, Monitoring dan Evaluasi. Hasil dari pelatihan ini diukur melalui Pre Test dan Post Test, nilai rata-rata Pre Test pengetahuan awal peserta dengan nilai 48,4 persen, dengan rentang nilai 26 sampai 70 point, Hasil Nilai Rata-rata Post Test 81.65 persen dengan rentang nilai yang diperoleh 63-100 point, terlihat adanya perbedaan yang cukup signifikan dari nilai Pre Test dimana terdapat peningkatan kemampuan peserta. Seluruh peserta berhasil merancang Website menggunakan Google Site, Wix, HTML dan CSS.
Improving human resources in the field of ICT and digital literacy for village officials is very important in this digital era. The lack of skills in operating ICT has hampered in operating Ms. Office and google. The purpose of this training activity is to increase the capacity of human resources in the field of ICT and digital literacy in the community of Nimboran district. The method used in this activity is direct training and mentoring. This ICT activity was carried out for three days of training. At the beginning of the activity, it was distributed to measure participants' understanding in operating Ms. Office and Google. Monitoring and evaluation is done by presenting the post-test directly. The result of this ICT training is 72,61%have been able to improve their competence in operating Ms. Office and Google.
Bahasa Inggris merupakan matakuliah dasar yang wajib dipelajari oleh mahasiswa Sistem Informasi, Universitas Ottow Geissler Papua. Materi dan metode pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris harus jelas dan tepat, agar mahasiswa dapat memperoleh manfaat dari matakuliah Bahasa Inggris. Oleh karena itu, analisa kebutuhan pada matakuliah Bahasa Inggris sangat penting. Analsis kebutuhan merupakan tahap awal dalam menentukan media atau Teknik pembelajaran yang relevan atau sesuai dengan target pembelajarnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kebutuhan pembelajar Bahasa Inggris bagi mahasiswa Program Studi Sistem Informasi, Universitas Ottow Geissler Papua. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dimana data yang didapat akan dianalisis dan dideskripsikan. Penelitian ini melibatkan 60 mahasiswa program studi Sistem Informasi dan 5 orang dosen Sistem Informasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan pembelajar Bahasa Inggris ESP sangat beragam dan harus disesuaikan dengan karakteristik dari program studi atau kebutuhan pembelajar. Analisis kebutuhan harus dilakukan terus-menerus mengikuti kebutuhan dari pembelajar ESP.
Improving teacher competence is very important to support the quality of education. There is still a lack of digital literacy mastery among kindergarten teachers in learning, especially learning English. There are many obstacles faced by teachers in mastering digital literacy such as a lack of knowledge about the features of laptops, and lack of understanding how to operate laptops or smartphones. The other obstacles in learning English in kindergarten is the teachers educational background who are not from the English Education study program. The purpose of this Community Partnership Service Activities is to improve the teacher competence in mastering ICT. The method used is through training, question and answer and direct mentoring. Participants who participated in this activity were kindergarten teachers from cluster 3 of Jayapura city consisting of 12 kindergarten teachers. This activity conducted for two days. At the beginning of the activity, a pre-test was distributed to measure participants' understanding of digital literacy in learning English. Monitoring and evaluation are done by giving post-test directly to participants. The results of this this Community Partnership Service Activities are 82% or 10 teachers from 12 teachers have increased their competence in mastery of digital literacy in learning English in kindergarten.
