Hemagglutination‐inhibition tests with sera from both healthy African children and those with Burkitt's lymphoma indicate a high and relatively uniform prevalence of reovirus type 1 and type 2 antibodies. The occurrence of reovirus type 3 antibody is low in healthy children but high in patients with Burkitt's lymphoma. The importance of these findings in relation to the etiology of Burkitt's lymphoma is discussed.
