Herpes Zoster disease is one of the most difficult skin diseases to treat and everyone can experience it, the characteristic of this disease is marked by unilateral vesicular grouped with pain marked with radicular around the dermatome. This study aims to build bayes theorem method using Visual Basic 2008 as a tool to diagnose skin diseases. With this application does not have to wait long to anticipate treatment quickly and precisely. How to use this application is the admin input questions in the form of symptoms experienced by the patient, then the system will process all the patient answers using Bayes method a nd the system will output the results of the diagnosis of the type of disease. The built system can help the patient in knowing the type of illness that is being suffered by the patient and in accordance with the expert analysis of skin diseases.

SMK Swasta Harapan Baru memiliki dua jurusan yang dapat dipilih oleh siswa/siswinya, yaitu jurusan Teknik Kendaraan Ringan (TKR) dan jurusan Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak (RPL). Pemilihan jurusan merupakan hak dari siswa/siswi, namun kesalahan pemilihan jurusan dapat menyebabkan penurunan motivasi belajar dan rendahnya prestasi siswa/siswi. Permasalahan ini dapat diselesaikan dengan menggunakan metode K-Means Clustering. Proses pengelompokan data ini dilakukan berdasarkan kemiripan data antar kelompok pada titik tengah (cluster) dari 2 jurusan. Means merupakan metode yang membutuhkan parameter input sebanyak K dan membagi sekumpulan n objek ke dalam K cluster sehingga tingkat kemiripan antar anggota dalam suatu cluster tinggi, sedangkan tingkat kemiripan dengan anggota pada cluster lain sangat rendah. Setiap data siswa dihitung jarak kedekatannya dengan centroid dari masing-masing jurusan, setelah itu dilakukan update terhadap nilai centroid berdasarkan nilai rata-rata dari masing-masing kelompok. Bila nilai centroid masih berubah, maka dilakukan perhitungan jarak ulang hingga nilai centroid tidak berubah, dan data clustering stabil. Hasil penelitian adalah aplikasi dapat digunakan untuk membantu proses pemilihan jurusan pada siswa SMK Swasta Harapan Baru secara otomatis, sehingga dapat membantu siswa/siswi yang masih bingung dengan pemilihan jurusan dan dapat menghindari kesalahan dalam pemilihan jurusan.                

The development of artificial intelligence technology that has occurred has allowed expert systems to be applied in detecting disease using programming languages. One in terms of providing information about a variety of disease problems that have recently been feared by Indonesian society, namely stroke. Expert system method used is dempster shafer and certainty factor method is used to analyze the comparison of both methods in stroke.Based on the analysis result, it is found that certainty factor is better than demster shafer and more accurate in handling the knowledge representation of stoke disease according to the symptoms of disease obtained from one hospital in medan city, uniqueness of algorithm that exist in both methods.

Respiratory tract infections are infectious diseases that interfere with the process of human breathing. When the breathing process takes place, there are often various kinds of diseases, most of which can only be treated by a lung specialist. The arrival of a pulmonary specialist for consultation can take hours and is expensive. Then we need an expert system that can quickly find out the type of disease in human breathing and how to handle it and the solutions that will be provided. Expert system is a system that uses human knowledge to find out the system that is entered into a computer and then is used to solve problems that usually require expertise or human expertise. One application of an expert system to diagnose respiratory tract infections is to use the certainty factor method. The certainty factor method is a method used to solve problems from uncertain answers, and also produce uncertain answers. This uncertainty is influenced by two factors, namely uncertain rules and uncertain user answers. The research aims to build an expert system application for handling respiratory tract infection problems with Visual Studio 2010 as a tool for designing applications and using Microsoft Access 2007 Database as a database.
