Cucumber is one of the choices of horticultural commodities for farming activities. To increase the production of cucumber can be done by using organic waste fertilizers, such as pineapple peel waste and rice washing water. This research aims: 1) to know the best concentration of liquid organic fertilizer of pineapple peel waste for growth and yield of cucumber; 2) to know the best concentration of liquid organic fertilizer of rice washing water for growth and yield of cucumber; and 3) to know the best combination of concentration of liquid organic fertilizer of pineapple peel waste and liquid organic fertilizer of rice washing water for growth and yield of cucumber. The research was conducted at screen house located in Tambaksogra Village, Sumbang Sub-district, Banyumas Regency and the Laboratory Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University, on Januari until June 2019. The experiment design used was Completely Randomized Block Design with 2 factors and 3 replication. The first factor was the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer of pineapple peel waste, namely 0, 10, 20, and 30 ml/l. The second factor was the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer of rice washing water, namely 0, 10, 20, and 30 ml/l. The results showed that: 1) the concentration 30 ml/l of liquid organic fertilizer of pineapple peel waste increased fruit weight per plant compared to the control treatment of 606,02 g : 45,48%, fruit length 15,99 cm : 9,22%, and fruit volume 163,87 ml : 13,37%; 2) the concentration liquid organic fertilizer of rice washing water did not increased the growth and yield of cucumber plants; and 3) the combination of concentrations liquid organic fertilizer of pineapple peel waste and rice washing water gave the same response to plant growth and yield.
Currently, it has developed rapidly in the form of housing in Banyumas Regency. The location of these housing settlements is well-known, mostly near urban areas and some in rural areas. Purwosari Indah Housing is one of the residential housing located in Banyumas Regency, located in Purwosari Village, Baturraden District. Yard and residential roads have not been used optimally for productive activities. Therefore, urban agriculture (Urban Farming) can be applied in housing to increase the added value of land and the income of the community around housing. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of PKK RT 4 RW 5 Purwosari Housing and increase the income of the community and help improve the sustainability of the housing environment. The target audience for this activity is the PKK RT 4 RW 5 Housing Purwosari, Baturraden, Banyumas. Technology transfer activities include training, hands-on practice, and making demonstration plots at partner locations. Activities carried out in the form of counseling, direct practice demonstration plots of leaf vegetable cultivation (caisim, kale, pakcoy, mustard greens, leeks, and celery) verticulture using polybags arranged in stages on racks built from bamboo and gutters that are stratified from bamboo racks. , as well as vegetable plants planted in polybags placed in polybags which are neatly arranged on the side of the road, in the yard, or at home. Partners have been able to grow leafy vegetables well, so they can harvest vegetables for their own consumption or give to neighbors. ABSTRAK Saat ini telah berkembang dengan pesat hunian berbentuk perumahan di Kabupaten Banyumas. Lokasi hunian perumahan tersebut tersebar sebagian besar dekat daerah perkotaan dan sebagian lagi berada di perdesaan. Perumahan Purwosari Indah merupakan salah satu hunian perumahan yang berada di Kabupaten Banyumas, berlokasi di Desa Purwosari Kecamatan Baturraden. Lahan pekarangan rumah dan pinggir jalan perumahan belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal untuk kegiatan produktif. Oleh karena itu pertanian perkotaan (Urban Farming) perlu diterapkan di perumahan untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah lahan dan pendapatan masyarakat disekitar perumahan. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan ibu PKK RT 4 RW 5 Perumahan Purwosari dan menambah pendapatan masyarakatnya serta ikut meningkatkan kelestarian lingkungan perumahan. Khalayak sasaran kegiatan ini adalah ibu PKK RT 4 RW 5 Perumahan Purwosari, Baturraden, Banyumas. Kegiatan alih teknologi berupa pelatihan, praktek langsung, dan pembuatan demplot di lokasi mitra. Kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa penyuluhan, praktek langsung demplot budidaya tanaman sayuran daun (caisim, kangkung, pakcoy, sawi, bawang daun, dan seledri) secara vertikultur dengan menggunakan polibag yang ditata secara bertingkat pada rak yang terbuat dari bambu serta talang yang diletakkan bertingkat dari rak bambu, serta tanaman sayuran yang ditanam di polibag yang diletakkan dalam polibag yang ditata rapi di pinggir jalan, di pekarangan maupun di dak rumah. Mitra telah mampu menanam tanaman sayuran daun dengan baik, sehingga mereka dapat melakukan panen sayuran untuk di konsumsi sendiri maupun diberikan ke tetangga. Panen sayuran masih terbatas sehingga hanya dikonsumsi sendiri dan belum dijual. Kata kunci: Urban farming, tanaman sayuran, vertikultur.
The purpose of this research was to know the correct soaking period of sawdust media and growth of red chili seedling. This research was conducted at the screen house of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jenderal Soedirman, Banyumas, from April-May 2019. The method used was Randomized Completely Block Design. The treatments were consisted of media containing soil, sawdust without soaking, sawdust that has been soaked for 1 day, sawdust that has been soaked for 2 days, sawdust that has been soaked for 3 days, sawdust soaked for 4 days, sawdust that has been soaked for 5 days, sawdust that has been soaked for 6 days, sawdust that has been soaked for 7 days. Observed variables included plant height 14 days, root length, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, plant height 42 days. The results showed that germination and growth of seedlings of chili plants on sawdust media that had been soaked for 7 days had better plant height, root length, number and length of leaves than on soil media.
Due to the rising market demands of spring onion (Allium fistulosum L.) it is necessary to response them with the best technical plantation. This research is meant to know: (1) the effective plant spacing, (2) the effective seedlings tuber cutting, and (3) to decide the interaction between plant spacing and the seedlings tuber cutting spring onion. The research was done on April 2018 until June 2018 at Dusun Gewok, Desa Karanggintung, Kecamatan Sumbang, Kabupaten Banyumas. The design of the research is a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two factors. The first factor is the plant spacing which consist of 3 levels, (15 x 20) cm, (20 x 20) cm, and (25 x 20) cm. The second factor is seedling tuber cutting which consist 3 levels, without cutting, cutting ½ part, and cutting 2/3 part. The data analyzed using F test, then continued using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) on level 5%. The result showed that the most effective to reach the higher level and the best yield is the plant spacing 15 cm x 20 cm with 1.729 g, the seedlings tuber cutting ½ part raise the hight of the plant 56,12 cm, and there is no best combination between the spacing of the seedlings to cut the seedlings to increase the growth and yield of the spring onion.
ABSTRAKProgram Kotaku (Kota Tanpa Kumuh) dilaksanakan berdasarkan Peraturan Presiden Nomor 2 Tahun 2015 tentang Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional Tahun 2015-2019. Salah satu tujuan program Kotaku tercapainya kondisi 0 persen permukiman tanpa kumuh. Kelurahan Kedungwuluh Kecamatan Purwokerto Barat Kabupaten Banyumas termasuk dalam kategori kumuh ringan dengan luas wilayah 1,26 persen dari seluruh luas wilayah. Pemukiman kumuh pada umumnya identik dengan kemiskinan dan ketidakpedulian masyarakat terhadap lingkungan. Tujuan pengabdian sebagai penerapan hasil penelitian mengenai Model Pengelolaan Kelompok Swadaya Masyarakat Ekonomi Pada Program Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Kota Tanpa Kumuh. Mitra kegiatan adalah masyarakat di wilayah RT 2 RW 2; RT6 RW 7 dan RT 5 RW 8 Kelurahan Kedungwuluh. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan melalui kegiatan sosialisasi Sistem Kebun Bersama, pemanfaatan lahan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Membandingkan hasil pre-test dan post-test pada Sistem Kebun Bersama dapat diketahui pemahaman masyarakat meningkat 75 persen dari semula hanya 10 persen; masyarakat secara keseluruhan memahami pemanfaatan lahan namun pelaksanaannya terkendala oleh keterbatasan waktu (65,83 persen), pengetahuan (12,67 persen), kemalasan (12,67 persen) dan biaya (5,02 persen). Hasil pemberdayaan masyarakat berupa peningkatan pendapatan dan kemandirian keuangan kelompok, jumlah kas kelompok dari hasil Sistem Kebun Bersama mulai April sampai dengan bulan September 2019 ratarata bertambah Rp513.333,00. Selain itu berdampak pula pada peningkatan kegiatan anggota kelompok karena adanya sistem piket kebun, peningkatan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan dan kerukunan antar warga, mendidik generasi muda cinta lingkungan serta mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan. ABSTRACTThe Kotaku (Kota tanpa Kumuh / City without Slums) Program is implemented based on Presidential Regulation Number 2 of 2015 concerning the 2015-2019 National Medium-Term Development Plan (Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional). One of the goals of the Kotaku program is to achieve the condition of 0 percent residence without slums. Kedungwuluh Village, West Purwokerto Sub-district, Banyumas Regency is included in the category of mild slum, with 1.26 percent slums of the total area. Slums are generally identical with poverty and community indifference toward the environment. This service aim to apply the research results on the Management Model of Community Self-help Group (Kelompok Swadaya Masyarakat/KSM) Economy in the Kotaku Community Empowerment Program. Activity partners consist of communities in the RT 2 RW 2, RT 6 RW 7 and RT 5 RW 8 neighborhood area of Kedungwuluh Village.
