INTRODUCTION: High-flow nasal cannula is a noninvasive method of oxygen therapy which helps individuals with pathologies related to respiratory insufficiency and / or respiratory distress. The objective of this technique is to promote oxygen, generating a better level of saturation, maintaining hydration, decreasing hypoxemia and helping to stabilize the vital signs of preterm and post-term infants. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the efficacy and effectiveness of the method to treat newborn patients. METHODS: This is a systematic review of randomized controlled trials, followed by a strategy of searching, selecting, and analyzing the methodological quality of studies among reviewers. RESULTS: Initially 355 studies were screened in different databases, after analysis 335 studies were excluded, after further analysis and study design by the proposed theme were selected and included 20 clinical trials. Regarding methodological quality analysis by Higgins, the studies included predominantly were classified as uncertain risk of bias. CONCLUSION: Several randomized clinical studies have proven the efficacy and effectiveness of high-flow cannula, causing respiratory comfort and improving the saturation level. However publications of new studies that standardize the use of this therapy is required. The included data do not show a model or reference of oxygen supply, therapy time and standardized scales for evaluating these patients.
Asia was the cradle of martial arts about 2,500 years ago, in mid-1915, jiu-jitsu was brought to Brazil. This technique was based on blows with the hands and feet, focusing on perfect mobilizations, grips and keys that immobilize the opponent very easily. Focus on self-defense. The purpose of this article is to review the literature with the intention of identifying the following factors: which part of the body is most affected and if the practice time in the modality and the athlete's graduation reflect on the appearance of the same. Our data collection took place in the year 2018, so we searched for articles in the databases PEDRO, VHL, ACADEMIC GOOGLE and SCIELO. With this we observed after the analysis of the data that the most affected place was the knee and the time of practice influences the appearance of lesions. Therefore physiotherapy is prepared to help these high-performance athletes return to their activities as quickly as possible, obtaining a greater degree of development of the injured members, so that the athlete can have ease in the course of their struggles and always aiming for prevention, so that there is no other injury.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
