A data acquisition system which allows fast collection of stationary and nonstationary Spectroscopic data from cylindrical sources is described. This is achieved by using a small computer for the control of the optical and electronic equipment, data gathering and compressing as well as some initial calculations. For extensive calculations the data are transferred to a larger Rank-Xerox Sigma 9 computer. The computers work in a master-slave mode, although each can be the master or the slave. Some results of the measurements are given at the end.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
