Booster DC to DC converters operating with 20 kHz conversion frequency perform rapid regulation that make them very well suited to use as active filters for attenuation of low frequency noise. Booster converters with such filtering qualities are beeing used in a new series of 48 V DC power flants. The noise on the output is kept well below the limits that are specified in the CCITT-recommendations.
INODUCTIONPower supply systems for telecommunication must fullfil several requirements that ascertain reliable operation of the telecommunications equipment, and make it possible to maintain a desired quality level of the speech transmitted between subscribers. There should be no interruptions in the supply of power and voltage variations must be limited (both in stationary state and during transient events). Also the noise produced by the power supply equipment must be lower than specified limit levels.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
