Das „Forschungs- und Technologiezentrum für ressourceneffiziente Leichtbaustrukturen der Elektromobilität (Forel)“ ist ein Netzwerk mit Beteiligung namhafter Partner in zahlreichen anwendungsnahen Forschungsprojekten. Vielfach werden in Projekten Simulationsketten zur durchgängigen übergreifenden Bewertung von Fertigungstechnologien aufgebaut. Dabei stehen vor allem neue Werkstoffmodelle und angepasste Schnittstellen zwischen Prozess- und Struktursimulation im Vordergrund.   The centre for research and technology for resource-efficient lightweight structures of electric mobility (Forel) is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and supported by the Project Management Agency Karlsruhe (PTKA) Dresden. Forel is a network of renowned partners participating in application-oriented research projects. In the projects, diverse simulation chains are built up for a consistent and comprehensive analysis of manufacturing technologies. The focus is on new material models and adapted links between process und structural simulation.
