Solutions of alcali nitrates and chlorides were investigated in the wavelength range 0.9 to 30 cm. The data of the dielectric constants (DC) are specified as a function of salt concentration. The results concerning the dispersion of complex DC and the relaxation times can be interpreted by the influence of single and associated ions.
At 25°C the complex dielectric constants (DC) of solutions of alkali chlorides and nitrates in polar solvents are measured in the microwave region (1 GHz to 33 GHz). The interpretation of frequency dependence of the DC by relaxation processes shows increasing as well as decreasing relaxation times with increasing concentration of salt–according to the solvent.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
