Writing research is one of the most tedious academic tasks. The study aimed to determine students' lived experiences in terms of the difficulties faced and coping mechanisms in writing research. Ten (10) participants were purposively selected for the study. Maslow's motivation theory and Collaborative learning theory were the foundation theories of the study. A phenomenological research design and Collaizi's data analysis (Gumarang Jr. et al., 2021) were utilized to obtain the result of the study. Researchers collected data through a semi-structured questionnaire via google forms, virtual focus group discussion, and observation notes. Researchers gathered information using a semi-structured questionnaire administered via google forms, a virtual focus group discussion, and observation notes. The findings revealed that the difficulties encountered were relevant research dilemmas, unamenable behavior of members, scarcity of time, and insufficient academic assistance in learning. Additionally, coping mechanisms include seeking academic assistance, autodidact behavior, time efficacy, and self-acceptance. The study findings enable the education sector to provide interventions for students to improve the quality of their research writing by attending enhancement programs, training, and webinars.
Learning Management Systems (LMS) are becoming increasingly important in today's educational system. The study aimed to determine students' insights and the advantages and disadvantages of using a learning management system in mathematics class. The participants in the study were ten (10) students who were carefully chosen for the study. Vygotsky's sociocultural and e-learning theories were the foundation for this study. A single descriptive case study design was utilized in this study, and thematic (Braun & Clarke, 2006) data analysis was used to analyze the data acquired through a semi-structured questionnaire in a google form and a virtual focus-group conversation. The results demonstrated the following insights: feasible learning tools, adequate learning resources, and a depository of learning. The antecedent of knowledge and self-driven growth are advantages of using a learning management system in a mathematics class, then the disadvantages include unpredictable learning occurrences and internet service disruption. The findings of this study enable the academic community to develop additional online techniques and materials that can enhance learning outcomes and engage students even during a pandemic.
Teachers are honed for many years to be able to teach comprehensively to diverse learners. Before achieving college diplomas, they still have to undergo practice teaching to enhance and employ content and pedagogical approaches they learned from their previous college years. This study's framework was based clearly on Jean's Piaget Formal Operational Stage and Albert Banduras' Social Cognitive Development Theory. Learners develop their critical thinking during a formal stage, promoting constructive behavior that affects an individual's success. Ten (10) elementary preservice teachers of a laboratory school were selected through the purposive sampling technique. The researcher gathered the data appropriately using in-depth semi-structured interviews, and responses were recorded and documented with confidentiality. This study's findings are the pre-service teachers' preparation stage of teaching, tangible teaching exposure, utilization of pedagogical methods and approaches, people's unamenable behavior, vigorous school demands, financial shortage, implementation of diverse teaching strategies, possess adequate personality and seek out spiritual guidance. Results suggest that school administrators and faculty educators must provide all education students with resilient and concrete experiences. Lesson planning, various teaching strategies, and classroom management must introduce as early as possible once they step into the education portal during their first year in college before undergoing the practice teaching stage.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
