Fabienne Pavis, The institutionalisation of management training at French Universities from 1965 to 1975. In the late 1960's, the development of business management courses at French universities benefited from favourable international policies, the wind of change blowing at the French universities and the involvement of some high-ranking civil servants, industrial managers and academics, who had been mobilised in advance for these courses. However, there were some who opposed the advent of these new disciplines preparing students for a non-academic labour market.
