Green innovation is becoming an essential business strategy in the 21stcentury as it brings sustainable environment and economic prosperity hand in hand. Consequently, the impact of green innovation on firm performance has drawn enormous attention among the scholars for the past few decades, aiming at empirically justify the positive implications of being green in business. However, the analysis from the ecological modernization perspective remains limited, although the focus on preventive approach to achieve environmentaland economic improvement is the central argument of this theoretical lens. This study tackles the above issue by examining the performance outcomes of green innovation adoption in view of ecological modernization perspective. A quantitative, survey based study collected data from 130 Malaysian manufacturing firms, which was subsequently analyzed using SmartPLS 2.0. The findings generally corroborate the positive implications of green innovation on firm performance in the aspects of environment, economic and competitive advantage. Likewise, EM perspective fits in offering plausible insights of the findings, hence entails the alternative ground to be employed in other studies of the like.

Lean tacit knowledge is very significant in ensuring the success of lean management implementation, yet the SMEs often found difficulties due to limited capital and resources. A single case study of Malaysian SME in automotive industry was selected for this purpose. Results show that lean training, problem solving using case study, factory visit, sharing of lean database and online learning are the common approaches that used by the studied company in developing the lean tacit knowledge. Moreover, the accomplishment of this knowledge transfer in lean management necessitate strong commitment from the employees and the top management support. This study incorporates some practical implications to the organizations that aims to implement the lean management effectively.

Purchase and use of environmentally preferable product can have a profound impact to improved ability to meet existing environmental sustainability goals. This article presents a study which examine the issues and challenges in cultivating environmentally preferred purchasing (EPP) among young generation. A survey has been conducted in which the respondents are staff and students of one of public university in Malaysia. A set of questionnaires was used for data collection of the study. Data from 324 respondents was analyzed using a descriptive and inferential analysis in fulfilling the research objectives. The study found that the factors which have significant effect on the EPP practices are the awareness, promotion, knowledge and attitudes. The findings of this study provide a great foundation for a better understanding of EPP practice among the Malaysian, particularly in the context of the educated young generation. The discoveries of this study also have a noticeable implication, especially for the government to increase the awareness and other practitioners to expand the values and promotion for green product and services.
