<p class="06IsiAbstrak">Suspicion of Salafi as terrorist and extremist organization increased after 9/11. Many studies have found that the Salafi ideology contains an exclusive and harsh doctrine of Wahhabism. This article examines the Salafi madrasas which was initially exclusive, rigid, conservative, and anti-state symbols, then transformed into a formal Islamic school that is modern and professional in management, as well as integrating the national education curriculum with Islamic curriculum (<em>diniyyah</em>/boarding school) as a strategy to gain state recognition. Although it is not carried out in all Islamic educational institutions it manages, the transformation of the Salafi madrasas is intended to remove the suspicions of the people who consider them terrorist and extremist group. Therefore, this article also explains the Salafi typology which is divided into two based on the movement model, namely the Ideological Salafi (Purification) and the Jihadist Salafi. Through the multicultural education approach that was written by Bikhu Parekh, this research suggests the implications of the ideas of salafism that are disseminated to the multicultural Indonesian society. This research finds that the Salafi campaign in Indonesia has not completely failed. Salafi madrasas have succeeded in transforming through curriculum integration which aims to reject public suspicion that they are terrorist organizations, in fact this strategy actually attracts upper-middle class people to send their children to Salafi madrasas. </p>
The Western civilization is often considered to be more advanced than any other civilizations. Many people who think that western civilization is always in contradiction with Islamic values. Such this thing, it is written by Samuel P. Huntington that the West would have clash against Islam. The tragedy of 11 September 2001 was a historic event that made the world condemned this action. Some Muslim terrorists launched an attack on the West. Since then, the Western Countries are always alert to everything related to Islam. They think Islam is a threat to the survival of democracy and secularism. Tariq Ramadan Suggested that western Muslims must understand their identity as Western Muslims in order to be accepted in the West and tackle all negative views of Western people which are against them. They can have multiple identities depending on the situation they faced. There are four principles in their identity they are Faith, the understanding of the text and context, education (teaching) and participation. By participating without losing the first of those four principles, means Muslims able and should participate in realizing the integration of Western culture, with carrying on Islamic Values in order to be a significant contribution which equals Islamization.
This paper attempts to provide a brief history of the nine saints named by walisongo, and more specifically Sunan Drajat and his role in the development of Islamic Education in various fields, such as da'wah, social, arts and culture and purification of aqīdah or creed. Specifficaly, this article will depict some points, such: First, the roles of Wali Songo to the propagation of Islam in Java; Second, Sunan Drajat’s method in Educating people; Third, Sunan Drajat’s Influences to Islamic Education. These aspects which give a description of a very good and successful method of preaching Islam in Indonesia especially in the land of Java
Abstract Adab is an important foundation for the success of education as formulated in the Law on Indonesia's national education system in 2003. This article aims to describe in detail the forms of pedagogical optimization of educators in shaping the civilization of learners. This research is descriptive qualitative using a library research approach. The data analysis technique used in this research is the content analysis technique. The data source used in this research were from the pages of Google Scholar, Mendeley, Sinta, Chicago Journal, and Country Rank. The results of this research indicated three points, including: (1) designing a tawhid-based curriculum, (2) applying habituation methods in learning, and (3) carrying out monitoring and evaluation. The implication of this civilizational development process is the achievement of a process of national education goals that have long been formulated in the constitution of the Republic of Indonesia to form the faith and piety of students, so that a noble national civilization is formed.
Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk memperkuat literasi Islam dan sains di era masyarakat 5.0. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilakukan kepada Ikatan Pemuda Muhammadiyah Kota Batu. Peserta diberikan pelatihan, pendampingan dan penyuluhan tentang literasi Islam dan sains. Penyuluhan dilakukan untuk memberikan penguatan dan pemahaman tentang integrasi Islam dalam setiap bidang keilmuan sebagai bekal bagi generasi muda muslim yang intelektual dalam menghadapi era masyarakat 5.0. Pelatihan tersebut dilakukan untuk memperkokoh pondasi keislaman bagi generasi muda agar dapat berkontribusi secara ilmiah dan tidak meninggalkan nilai-nilai keislaman. Pendampingan dilakukan dengan memberikan arahan, komunikasi, dan pemberian materi terkait Islamisasi Ilmu. Pendampingan dilakukan dengan memberikan materi tentang integrasi Islam dan Sains dalam mengamalkan ilmu bagi masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan tiga tahapan, yaitu survey data anggota mahasiswa, sosialisasi agenda dan penyampaian materi. This community service activity is carried out to strengthen Islamic and scientific literacy in the era of society 5.0. The implementation of this service was carried out to the Batu City Muhammadiyah Youth Association. Participants are given training, mentoring and counseling about Islamic and scientific literacy. Counseling is carried out to provide strengthening and understanding of the integration of Islam in every scientific field as a provision for the young generation of Muslims who are intellectuals in facing the era of society 5.0. The training is carried out to strengthen the Islamic foundation for the younger generation so that they can contribute scientifically and not abandon Islamic values. Assistance is carried out by providing direction, communication, and providing material related to the Islamization of Science. Assistance is carried out by providing material on the integration of Islam and Science in practicing knowledge for the community. This service activity uses three stages, : a survey of student member data, socialization of the agenda and delivery of material.
