The poultry industry, especially broilers is the basis of the people's economy which has high potential in increasing inclusive economic growth. In addition, it can also be studied from the product distribution side, from the point of producer to the end consumer. One of the companies engaged in the production of broiler broilers is PT SUJ. The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of farmer and company supply chains using the Supply Chain Operational Reference (SCOR) model approach with regard to internal and external attributes. The results showed that PT SUJ has four institutions involved in marketing broiler chickens, namely breeder partners, companies, brokers / agents and consumers. For measuring supply chain performance, the results of measuring the performance of broiler broiler supply chains at the level of partner farmers on the attributes of responsiveness and flexibility have achieved the best performance position (superior). However, for the attributes of reliability and assets are still at the level of advantage. Meanwhile, the value of chicken supply chain performance for the broiler company level on the attributes of reliability, responsiveness and flexibilty has achieved the best performance (superior). However, for attributes the company's assets only achieve a good position (advantage). Generally, the performance of broiler chicken supply chains is good at the farmer and company level.
The development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Medan is still unstable. This condition is related to limited working capital, low-quality human resources in accessing information and managing capital, weaknesses in obtaining market opportunities and increasing market share, and limited product marketing. The latest innovations are needed to increase the MSMEs' competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the performance of MSMEs to increase competitiveness and determine the effect of innovation on MSMEs in Medan. The study included 20 business actors from Medan Johor, Medan Sunggal, Medan Denai, and Medan Marelan. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with purposive sampling. The respondents were based on agribusiness in culinary and processed derivative products. Data were analyzed using a Likert scale and binary logistic regression. The results showed that business actors' performance by analyzing opportunities to increase competitiveness resulted in a very good category. The highest results were on certification indicator, while the lowest were on service indicator. Meanwhile, the factors influencing MSME innovation were level of education and information technology. The results recommend that government should train Medan City MSMEs in online sales applications to increase their market share. Furthermore, to support a more accessible certification and licensing process, BPOM should socialize more with business actors.
The research approach method is a qualitative approach. The method of data collection is secondary data, secondary data needed is obtained from relevant agencies, namely from the Central Bureau of Statistics and the Department of Agriculture as well as other literature related to research. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and analysis of Vector Auto Regression (VAR). The results showed that: 1) The dominant factors affecting rice prices in North Sumatra are 2, the first is 60% production because the higher the production of rice, the price of rice will decline and the lower the production, the price of rice will increase and the second factor is 38% inflation because if the price of rice continues to increase there will be inflation, but it is different from the fact that rice prices fluctuate due to the stability of rice prices. 2) Factors that affect rice prices in North Sumatra in the short term are significant, namely inflation and in the long term there are five significant factors, namely production (prod), harvest area (field), income (inc), consumption (cons) ) and inflation (inf). 3) From Impulse Response Function Analysis, it can be seen that the factors that influence rice prices in North Sumatra can be seen as stability, namely the production variable (Prod) reaches stability in the 25th period, the penen variable (Field) reaches stability in the period 28, the consumption variable (Cons) reaches stability in the 25th period, the income (Inc) variable reaches stability in the 20th period, the inflation variable reaches stability in the 27th period. namely inflation and in the long term there are five significant factors, namely production (prod), harvest area (field), income (inc), consumption (cons) and inflation (inf).
This study aims to determine the existence of agribusiness microfinance institutions (LKMA) and their contribution to farmers' income. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method in Pematang Setrak Village, Teluk Mengkudu District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. Sampling was done randomly with the number of active members in Gapoktan Sri Karya as many as 70 people from 4 farmer groups. The data collected in the form of primary data and secondary data. The analytical method used is descriptive quantitative using Spearman rank correlation analysis and multiple linear regression. The results showed that the LKMA that still exists and has the potential to be developed is the contribution of farmer groups who are members of the Gapoktan who cultivate food plants commodities, while farmers who cultivate livestock and plantation commodities have not been incorporated. The average contribution of LKMA to farmers' income looks very good at 82.31%. The results of the correlation analysis between LKMA as a management and marketing facilitator on farmer's income showed a significant relationship, but LKMA as a financial facilitator did not show a significant relationship to farmers' income. Then the variable amount of assets and savings have a significant effect on farmers' income. But the variable frequency of financing and the amount of savings have no effect on farmers' income. This study recommends the bank or government to provide assistance or guidance in increasing access to capital. To the management of LKMA to further improve the quality of management and member recruitment.
