The new coronary pneumonia epidemic has had a tremendous impact on the world economic situation, causing a large number of enterprises to suffer from serious losses, but also bringing a large number of entrepreneurial opportunities. For college students, whether the opportunities brought by the epidemic can attract them to step into the entrepreneurial path becomes a question worthy of attention in the process of restoring economic vitality and guiding students’ employment and entrepreneurship. In this article, a mediation model was constructed and tested through 245 questionnaire data by combining event system theory, regulatory focus theory, and emotion cognitive evaluation theory. The results showed that defensive regulatory focus and fear of failure and facilitative regulatory focus and fear of failure were all able to continuously mediate the effect of event intensity of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic on the entrepreneurial intentions of college students.
“The 2015 International Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship” was successfully held on 12th and 13th of December 2015 by Jilin University. The attendees’ views of the conference follow: First, the innovation and entrepreneurship of China is now attracting the attention of scholars all over the world, yet the research has seldom been published in the world’s top journal. Chinese scholars need to discuss the theory more deeply and develop general conclusions, to build and establish a common theoretical language, which matches with that of the world. Second, at present, the research on innovation and entrepreneurship in China is still based on the western management theory, lacking the integration of Chinese traditional theory and culture. Chinese scholars need to build an eastern management theory which portrays the Chinese situation. Third, the research on innovation and entrepreneurship is gradually changing into qualitative research and case studies and the rich and objective secondary data has been playing more of an important role in each study, Chinese scholars should pay more attention to this previous research. The success of this conference contributes to the development of the Chinese research field and theory of innovation and entrepreneurship.
For countries in the process of economic transition, improvement of industrialization is no longer the sole goal of their economic development. While upgrading the level of industrial development, these countries also gradually attach importance to resource utilization efficiency and environmental protection, which is why sustainable entrepreneurship has become increasingly popular in recent years. With the intensification of policy guidance, a new “sea area” named sustainable entrepreneurship ushers in more and more “treasure hunters” exploring “the treasure” therein. Based on this, this chapter constructs the model of “Green Ocean Treasure Hunting” for green entrepreneurial enterprises to analyze the role played by their government's relevant policies and puts forward the research proposition of this chapter based on the relevant literature. On this basis, this chapter chooses and analyzes a medium-sized, high-tech enterprise in China that follows a certain typical green entrepreneurial process as evidence of the propositions the authors have put forward.
