This research focuses on the characteristics of polyvinyl alcohol and starch polymer blends doping with Rhodamine-B. The polymer blends were prepared using the solution cast method, which comprises 1:1(wt. /wt.). The polymer blends of PVA and starch with had different ratios of glycerin 0, 25, 30, 35, and 40 % wt. The ratio of 30% wt of glycerin was found to be the most suitable mechanical properties by strength and elasticity. The polymer blend of 1:1 wt ratios of starch/PVA and 30% wt of glycerin were doped with different ratios of Rhoda mine-B dye 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6% wt and the electrical properties of doping biodegradable blends were studied. The ratio of Rhodamine-B 5% wt to the polymer blends showed high conductivity up to 1×10-3. In general, the electrical conductivity was increased with high temperature, which is similar to the behavior of semi-conductive polymers. Chitosan is a natural polymer that is very common in many applications. In addition, Nicotine is a natural dye. To prepared Chitosan Nicotine (CN) layer we mix (1: 1) ratios from the Chitosan doping with Nicotine dye. After that, it is used as an active layer in solar cells. The morphology of the surface for the prepared layer is studied by scanning electron microscopy technique (SEM). From this study, We found that the surface of Chitosan could be more regular when it dopant with Nicotine than being a lone. The optical properties of samples were studied from UV-Visible spectra at wavelengths 300-900 nm. The analysis of optical measurements data showed that the absorbance increased after mixing the Chitosan with Nicotine. The parameters of solar cell were calculated within the voltage range (1-12Volt) and noted that the Short Circuit Current (JSC =1.6x10-3) mA/cm2, Open Circuit Voltage (VOC =7x10-2) V, Fill Factor (FF=0.51), Series Resistance (RS= 60) Ω and Shunt Resistance (Rsh= 250) Ω.were noted.
"The polymer blend of Chitosan: polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) (1:1) weight percent and hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) (0.5%) was prepared. The profile of the sample and its properties were measured by Fourier transfer Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) was used to describe the morphology of the polymer blend with two magnifications without any ratio of 4- (2-Pyridylazo) resorcinol monosodium salt hydrate and with 0.15 % of a 4-(2-Pyridylazo) resorcinol monosodium salt hydrate. The mechanical properties were demonstrated and characterized by Elongation and Young modulus. The polymer blend was incorporated with different weight ratios of 4-(2-Pyridylazo) of resorcinol monosodium salt hydrate, (0.03, 0.05, 0.07, 0.09, 0.15) gm of weight %. The current-voltage (I-V) characterization of prepared thin films showed ohmic behavior and the electrical conductivity was improved by increasing the ratio of dopant that leads all samples to reflect a semiconductor behavior.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
