The aim of this study is to determine academics’ user resistance to distance learning, their perceptions of the distance learning systems and factors affecting their perceptions of the changes in the education system during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study’s population consists of 440 academics working in 43 different universities in Turkey. The research sample were determined through convenience and snowball sampling methods. The data were collected using an online questionnaire form created within Google Forms. After validity and reliability analyses on the data, eight different hypotheses were tested using structural equation analysis. All eight hypotheses proposed within the study were accepted after receiving the results of this analysis. The results of the study show that user resistance has a significantly negative effect on the users that utilise distance learning. However, the perceived ease of use and usefulness have a significantly positive effect on attitude and behavior.
From the past to the present, strategies have been developed for business internationalization in the context of strategic management. These strategies have been examined theoretically and practically. To give an example of these approaches, the internationalization processes of businesses were primarily examined under two sub-headings, static and dynamic. A process where globalization affects national culture, social life, and borders is lived. Therefore, macro theory literature is another field that deals with the globalization process and internationalization strategies. The aim of this study is to examine how cyber wars will affect national business systems, based on the macro theory literature, with the interpretive paradigm.
Entrepreneurship is encouraged in every sector in the twenty-first century. In the field of health, nurse entrepreneurship emerges as an important issue in providing health services and improving public health. In this research, the development of entrepreneurial behavior in nursing in the world and a systematic examination of this development within the framework of academic knowledge are aimed. For this purpose, the types of entrepreneurship discussed in the last 10 years of research in the field of entrepreneurship in nursing and the methods, findings and results of these studies were examined. As a result of the search made in databases with high international recognition, 78.761 publications on nurse entrepreneurship were reached in the last ten years, and 30 articles were included in the final review. Classical, social, collective and intrapreneurship were discussed in these studies, which were examined in terms of entrepreneurship typology. As a result of the review, it was seen that the studies in the literature mostly focused on the opportunities and obstacles in front of entrepreneurial nurses. While collective entrepreneurship was included for the first time in the literature, it was found that eco-entrepreneurship and digital entrepreneurship have not yet been the subject of research on nurse entrepreneurship. However, it has been found that more research is needed on the relations between entrepreneurial nurses and non-governmental organizations, the incentives for increasing entrepreneurship and role modeling in entrepreneurship.
Face-to-face education gave way to online emergency education due to the new Coronavirus pandemic. Regarding this change, this study aims to determine how academics perceive emergency distance education systems and the factors that affect their perceptions. Technology Acceptance Model was used for the theory of planned behaviour in this study. The population consisted of academics. Convenience and snowball sampling methods were used to reach the 444 academics that work in 43 different universities. The data were collected with online questionnaire forms through Google Forms. The collected data were tested through reliability, validity and confirmatory factor analyses and the research model was reviewed through the structural equation model. As a result, seven out of the nine suggested hypotheses were accepted. The research concluded that the subjective norm variables based on the theory of planned behaviour such as interpersonal effects and external effects did not have an impact on behavioural intention; perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use had a significantly positive effect on satisfaction towards the use of distant education; satisfaction and perceived behavioural control had a significantly positive effect on behaviour and that behavioural intention had a significantly positive effect on behaviour towards the use of distant education. Keywords: New Coronavirus Pandemic, Technology Acceptance Model, Theory of Planned Behaviour, Emergency Distance Education System, Academics
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
