3D printing technology has great potential in today's manufacturing world where one of its uses is in the prototype of a product. One of the most famous and inexpensive 3D printing technologies is the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) method. Many studies have been carried out using this FDM method. In this study, the printing of motorbike light relay boxes was carried out using the FDM method with two variations of speed, temperature and infill of each mass. 3D Printing uses a nozzle diameter of 0.4 mm and a work table temperature of 60oC and a height of 0.2 mm for each layer with support every where. From the research results, all the products produced have a rough surface with a level of geometric accuracy ranging from 0.91% for the length dimension and 7.73% for the width dimension of the product.
The use of pumps in the industrial world, especially in power plants, cannot be separated from problems that arise that can cause losses. The research was conducted at PLTU 2 X 115 MW by taking a case that had happened to the pump, namely the Open Cycle Cooling Water Pump 2A. The analytical method used in this final project is the vibration analysis method, namely by reading the spectrum of the data retrieval results so that it can be seen what happens to the equipment that experiences an increase in vibration. Bearing damage can be seen in the spectrum image of the measurement results, where the appearance of the spectrum in the high frequency range is an indication of bearing damage. And the high vibration which reaches 13.06 mm/s and is already in the danger category based on ISO 10816-3.
Currently, the goods sorting process in industry still uses a manual method. Therefore, it is necessary to propose an automatic sorting method using control technology. In order to realize the above issue, an automated method is proposed to separate plastic materials and metallic materials in a prototype of goods sorting process. In our study, a plastic bottle and metal bottle detector was designed using a TCRT5000 infrared sensor and an Arduino Uno-based Proximity sensor. The TCRT5000 sensor functions to detect nonmetallic materials while the proximity sensor detects metallic and nonmetallic materials. The sensors will provide logic output to the microcontroller so that the types of materials that enter the sorting system can be distinguished. After the material passes through the sensor, the LCD will automatically display the object value, then the servo motor will sort the objects by moving the actuator to sort the material. Based on the design and implementation of the prototype and based on testing, the plastic bottle material and metal bottle material can be separated properly
Automatic Gate design using Arduino Uno controller as the main component that regulates other components. This tool is designed for a higher level of security and makes it easier for humans to open/close the gate automatically. This tool is also a simulation tool and learning media. The data analysis method used is a needs analysis which includes software, namely Arduino software and gearbox hardware, Bluetooth module, and motor driver. From the results of the tests that have been carried out, it can be concluded that this design works well when the amarino application is turned on and then orders the gate to open/close. The conclusion that is designed is to make it easier to open / close the gate and accurate security.
Time is growing day by day as well as the pattern of human life that depends on modern technology and culture, we can see modern lifestyles around us. The development of this era makes electricity consumption also increases, so that the need for electrical energy is not proportional to the available electrical energy, there are still many that are not met. Solar power plant (PLTS) is an alternative that can produce electrical energy. However, weather factors greatly affect the performance of PLTS. If the solar panel gets sunlight in very hot weather, then the voltage and current obtained will be large, otherwise when the weather is cloudy or the solar panel does not get enough sunlight, the voltage and current obtained will decrease. In this paper, we will find out what impact will occur on a single-phase induction motor if the output of the PLTS changes at different times. With the writing of this article, it is hoped that further developers from both academic and non-academic can know and study the effect of these on electrical equipment.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
