Problem: urinary tract infections are one of the main conditions that occur in the pregnancy period, causing important maternal-fetal complications that can lead to death. Aims: to implement an educational booklet on the prevention of urinary tract infections in a group of pregnant women and analyze the nursing problems related to the occurrence of this disease. Method: a descriptive, qualitative study with fifteen pregnant women at a Family Health Unit in Petrópolis, RJ, Brazil in April, 2015. Data was collected through interviews - individual and group - and was analyzed using the data triangulation technique. Results: the application of the booklet revealed nursing problems related to hygiene, food, water intake, intestinal and urinary elimination and coitus. Conclusion: the use of printed technology is an important tool for discussion and learning in the health education process, and it can be used to qualify the nurses' care practice.
Objetivos: Realizar uma revisão integrativa para analisar os fatores de risco referentes à ocorrência da infecçãourinária na gravidez. Método: Revisão integrativa da literatura realizada nas bases LILACS, PAHO, WHOLYS, BIBLIOTECACOCHRANE, MEDLINE e CINAHL, no período de 01 de abril de 2015 a 01 de maio de 2015, baseada na seguintequestão de pesquisa: no que se refere à prevenção de agravos, quais são os fatores de risco relacionados com ainfecção urinária na gravidez? Resultados: Dez artigos foram selecionados, e evidenciaram-se como fatores de riscopara a ocorrência da infecção urinária na gravidez: baixa escolaridade, baixo nível socioeconômico, atividade sexual,história prévia de infecção urinária, anemia materna, adolescência, terceiro trimestre de gravidez, multiparidade,atraso no esvaziamento da bexiga, não lavar a genitália pré e pós-coito, e conviver com cães e gatos. Conclusões: Aanálise dos fatores de risco relacionados com a infecção urinária na gravidez poderá trazer benefícios para a saúdematerna e fetal bem como contribuir com uma atuação profi ssional mais qualifi cada.Palavras-chave: Fatores de risco; Infecções urinárias; Gravidez. ABSTRACTObjective: Conduct an integrative review to analyze the risk factors related to the occurrence of urinary infectionin pregnancy. Results: Ten articles were selected, and it was shown to be risk factors for the occurrence of urinary tractinfection in pregnancy: low education, low socioeconomic status, sexual activity, history of urinary tract infection,maternal anemia, adolescence, third trimester of pregnancy, multiparity, delayed emptying of the bladder, do notwash the genitals pre and post-coital, and live with dogs and cats. Conclusions: The analysis of risk factors relatedto urinary tract infection in pregnancy can bring benefi ts for maternal and fetal health and contribute to a morequalifi ed professional performance.Keywords: Risk factors; Urinary tract infections; Pregnancy.
