Com o intuito de melhorar a condição de lubrificação na superfície de recobrimentos de cromo eletrodepositado em aços-carbono, elaborou-se uma rede regular de furos utilizando um Laser Nd:YAG pulsado. Essa rede de furos foi projetada de modo que cada furo individual funcionasse como reservatório adicional de óleo em condições limítrofes de lubrificação. Técnicas de análise metalográfica e dimensional foram utilizadas para a caracterização das superfícies estudadas. Complementarmente, com o auxílio de uma interpretação analítica da condição limítrofe de lubrificação, foi possível descrever o comportamento tribológico dos recobrimentos texturizado e convencional, quando estes foram ensaiados no teste de pino-sobre-disco. A texturização do recobrimento de cromo levou-o a um significativo aumento da resistência ao "scuffing", sendo até três vezes maior que o recobrimento de cromo convencional, e a um melhor comportamento em relação ao desgaste (perda de massa). A regular spaced array (texture) consisting of holes produced by pulsed Nd:YAG laser was designed in order to improve lubricant conditions of chromium eletro deposited layer upon mild steel. This surface textured was designed so that any hole behaves as an additional lubricant reservoir in boundary lubricant conditions. Metallographic and topographic analysis were performed and an analitical interpretation was proposed to describe tribological behaviour of this laser patterned (regular holes distribuition) and conventional (no laser treated) coatings. Tribological tests were performed accordingly to pin-on-disc procedure. A relevant increase in scuffing resistance was observed for texture coating: three times compared with conventional eletro deposited chromium layer. Better behaviour in wear tests (loss of mass) was also observed
Soliton excitations in an easy-plane classical one-dimensional antiferromagnet in the presence of a staggered magnetic field transverse to the chain direction are studied. The out-of-plane soliton solution is found to have an instability similar to the one found before by Magyari-Thomas-Kumar for the easy-plane ferromagnetic chain in an external magnetic field. Also studied are the soliton stability and the phase shift of spin waves in the presence of the soliton.Soliton-Anregungen in einem klassischen eindimensionalen Antiferromagneten mit leichter Ebene in einem gezackten Magnetfeld senkrecht zur Kettenrichtung werden untersucht. Die nichtebene SolitonLosung weist eine Instabilitat auf, ahnlich der von Magyar-Thomas-Kumar fur eine ferromagnetische Kette mit leichter Ebene im Magnetfeld gefundene. Weiterhin werden die Solitonenstabilitat und die Phasenverschiebung der Spinwellen in Anwensenheit des Soliton betrachtet.
