RESUMOEste artigo tem objetivo analisar as questões socioambientais dos moradores da comunidade de Jaranduba, na zona costeira amazônica, arquipélago do Bailique-AP, localizada a 185 km da capital do estado (Macapá). A metodologia pautou-se em observação direta, entrevistas semiestruturadas e check list dos principais problemas ambientais locais. Os resultados apontam que a maioria dos investigados possuem baixos níveis de escolaridade, e as atividades de pesca e agricultura de subsistência é que garantem o sustento das famílias. Enquanto que os principais problemas socioambientais são: o lixo, o desmatamento e a erosão. Portanto, os problemas de caráter socioambiental evidenciados na comunidade, são ocasionados pela ausência de políticas públicas efetivas.
ABSTRACTThis article aims to analyze the socio-environmental issues of residents of the community of Jaranduba, in the Amazon coastal zone, archipelago of Bailique-AP, located 185 km from the capital of the state (Macapá). The methodology was based on direct observation, semi-structured interviews and check list of the main local environmental problems. The results indicate that the majority of the investigated have low levels of schooling, and the activities of fishing and subsistence farming ensure the livelihood of families. While the main socioenvironmental problems are: garbage, deforestation and erosion. Therefore, the socio-environmental problems evidenced in the community are caused by the absence of effective public policies.
